Incredible Historic craftsman style house with neat old vintage cars and lots of antique architectural details on this old house. The house was built in the early 1900’s around 1910-1920. It remained in the same family for the last century until being bought by a house developer in the mid 2010’s after the last owners passed away. Sadly the house is most likely set for demolition in its advanced stages of decay. So much beautiful antiques and old furniture left this house truly was one of the most heartbreaking I’ve ever filmed. Glad to have documented this old place on video. Thank you for watching!

What a sad home. All the memories belonging to the owner are rotting away. I hate that. If seeing these sad homes are hard on us, I’m sure they’re hard on you as well Kappy. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication and as always, stay safe.♥️

The pine paneling in the one bedroom brought back a lot of memories. My Dad enclosed our back porch when I was little (early 50's) and put that on the inside walls. That was a nice house in it's day. Too bad no one cared about it. It's amazing how some of the curtains still look beautiful hanging up.

Who will take Grandma - who will it be? All of us want her - I'm SURE you'll agree Let's call a meeting - let's gather the clan. Let's get this settled - as soon as we can. In such a big family - surely there's one. Willing to give her a place in the sun! Strange how we thought that she'd never wear out. But see how she walks, it's arthritis, no doubt. Her eyesight has faded, her memory's dim, she's apt to insist on the silliest whim, when people get older they become such a care! She must have a home, but the question is where? Remember the day's when she used to be spry? Baked her own cookies, made her own pies? Helped us with lessons and tended our seams? Kissed away troubles and mended our dreams? Wonderful Grandma! We all loved her so! Isn't it dreadful she's no place to go? One little corner is all that she'd need, a shoulder to cry on, her Bible to read. A chair by the window with the sun coming through, some pretty spring flowers still covered with dew, who'll warm her with love so she won't mind the cold? oh who'll take Grandma now that she's old? What? Nobody wants her? Oh, yes! there is ONE! Willing to give her a place in the sun! Where she won't have to worry wonder or doubt, and she won't be our problem to worry about! Pretty soon now God will give her a bed but who'll dry OUR tear's - when Grandma is dead? Clara Clark -Grantz 1910-1989 Thanks Kappy, see you next time!

But a lot of times things are taken and the home is ransacked and rummaged thru so bad that they just throw stuff everywhere looking for valuables when the house is really full of valuables.

Value is in the eye of the beholder isn’t it. And the time too. Some have learned so much about life, and they can see it certain items. And some can’t appreciate anything. If Kappy had me as a “helper” I believe he’d be very upset with my trail of tissues. Even now, just at home. A sign of good work, Kappy & Co.

I bet you a million $ she embroidered that farm picture near the couch. Things like that need to be rescued. It's not stealing when it's obvious that the land owners don't give a damn and the stuff will be lost forever when the house rots down on it. It's like goin to a landfill, finding good stuff and takin it home.

Great find! It would be great to go along with you on one of these adventures! The blue storage tubs in the one room showed someone started to pack things up but stopped and never came back. Once you see the porta-potty seat then you know the end of the story for the last occupant. An old person who either died there or was taken to a nursing home. The clothes always get me. Washed, and even taken to the dry cleaners then hung carefully in the closets...and they're still hanging there as the house crumbles around them. When there is a tree growing in front of the front porch step then you know it's been vacant a LONG TIME! I'm surprised you didn't hear whispers and voices in this one!

That purplish car has suicide doors. Very cool show and good find, Kappy. At 68 years old there is a lot of nostalgia for me here. Even the colors of the paint. The play horse & dolls, the little TV on the chair. The Tupperware cake carrier in the pantry. It must have been hard to leave behind that chalk art. That was beautiful.

The old car under the roof was a Mercury, my Mom had one just like it when I was a kid. That was a neat old place, the pictures were kinda sad, someone's memories but no one cares. Those floors looked scary. Once the roof starts leaking they don't last long. I'm so glad I found your channel. I've gone back and watched a bunch of your old videos. I think you were born way past your time. You belonged back in the 70s era because you seem like a young hippy type, just in this era. You have respect for not only the places you film but also kind-hearted to birds and any animals you may come upon. Also, this pad was one of my very favorite that you have filmed. An old (untouched by hoodlums) naturally decaying home with all of the old features and furniture. What a petfect gem this pad was. Great job Kappy. Stay safe out yonder and stay just as you are. Lots of memories here…and brought back a lot for me too! Reminded me of my Gram…she raised me after my mom died when I was 9 and the furniture, that kitchen cabinet with the glasses or dessert dishes, the cellar stairs down a few to the side door, and all the odds and ends! Brought a tear to my eyes! This house also made me sad. It is hard to walk around and see photo albums, pictures in frames, that were important enough to have been kept and momentos long forgotten that sum up a life. But the cars were really cool! Just a really nice lonely house .😢

I really like the way you film from different angles as you approach a house, someone's former home. It gives the viewer a sense of what it must have been like to live there. Also, you take your time with details of the interior. And finally, you give us a sense of the emotional records of the house ( this house is sad).

The feeling that I get is that the husband of the family died, kids, if there were any, are long gone & her sister came to live with her at the end of her life…evident by the handicapped toilet seat in the bedroom! The door, door hardware, casings, windows, window casings, banister we’re all original & priceless!!! The built ins in each room with the diamond pattern glass were epic!!! It breaks my heart to see the destruction that this house has been allowed to fall into😞😥😢 Such history & memories are about to be lost here…Sooo sad 😞😢 Kappy your health & safety is not worth any video..,so please always think of yourself first 👍🙏💕 Thank you for this wonderful adventure…. Ok Kappy. This place not only got my emotions going, but also memories too. It was so much like my grandparents home & also my Uncles home. Both are still lived in today, but not by my family. Craftsman style is my favorite due to the porches& built ins. It was almost identical to my grandparents home. I went back to read your information & just realized you’re in( or were here)NY. I know you can’t say what part of NY, darn. Craftsman style homes are in abundance around here. This was extremely sad. Stuck in time. Those pictures got to me. I’m about 25 minutes from Niagara Falls-hope you were able to go there. Nothing like seeing & feeling the power & beauty of them. Hope you have more from NY. Stay safe! I can’t believe you were able to walk up those stairs & show us around! Until next time. Oh, I loved the built in desk in the living room. First time I saw that in a craftsman

It's sad that family didn't want the pictures. I snatched any pictures I could of my dads side as he didn't want them. He also never wanted the old things my grandmother had. But she sold everything to pay for things to live - the beautiful grandfather clock, a beautiful mantel clock, furniture, dishes, her treadle sewing case, the old irons. All things I wish I had been given. So I'm buying those same pieces for my old Victorian home - as a way to remember my grandmother. Hope my granddaughters will enjoy it when I pass.

Hey Kappy! Oh, a Craftsman-style house, my very favorite construction style! This house is going to be either really beautiful or it'll be a heartbreaker. Glad you recognize it as a Craftsman, too, Kappy. Looks like it's in good shape from outside. Oh, what a beautiful set of built-ins in the room dividers! Why somebody felt it was their job to smash one, I'll never comprehend. Idiot! Still, it doesn't look like vandals have done too much damage to this house....yet. Uh oh, looks like bad water damage, from the appearance of the ceilings. That's too bad. This house looked so promising from the outside. That's a beautiful cross stitched sampler on the wall. Someone spent a long time making that! Those are nice photos in that old album, as someone was a good cameraman. It's sad that somebody's memories are just lost now, thrown away. It's a shame you can't return the album to the girl in the photos by the stairs. This house was a little showplace once, but time has truly been unkind to it. The curtains with the morning glories on them are pure vintage and quite lovely. I can imagine how this room looked. The built-ins on this side of the dividers are lovely, too. The Seals and Crofts album on that keyboard dates the last occupancy to the 70s. I wonder if it was the young woman in the photo who liked their music. I did. I'll bet somebody enjoyed sitting in that rocker by the window, maybe reading the morning paper. What a nice little dining room and kitchen! They're small rooms, but folks didn't have big kitchens back then. That's a nice pantry/closet, though, and a nice china cabinet. Returning to those photos of a young woman and her young family in the front room make me think these folks had a daughter. The teddy bear on the sofa was left by a child, maybe a grandchild. Oh, those ceilings are really a mess! The stairs look life- threatening, too! Honestly, Kappy, you do scare me sometimes! At least you made it across those broken stairs, but you'll only have to do it again in a little while! Honestly! This first room was used as a den, apparently, or at least a spare room. You're right, Kappy, that is an unfinished painting, but it's finished now. I wonder what it looked like. The way it sort of melted, it might have been a watercolor painting or even a pastel drawing. The Bibles on the shelf indicate that there was a Christian living here. Someone was disabled, though, or there wouldn't be a portable potty in this room. Wonder which one it was. Well, vandals were here, after all! They seem to love turning filled boxes upside down! So that's how you get to the attic! I never have liked those, myself. They might close up while I'm up there! Another room, maybe a woman's bedroom, with the lace curtains. This room was obviously being packed into plastic bins, perhaps to move them out, but the person stopped their packing, maybe when the roof fell in. Then the vandals came in and unpacked the bins again. The bathroom is in remarkably good shape. Usually it's in the worst condition. Cool! Pink bathrooms were the rage in the 50s and 60s, Kappy. Oh, this would have been their daughter's bedroom! They've saved her dolls just as she left them. How sweet! Maybe she came to visit sometimes. She was much loved, judging from the number of dolls she had. Oh, I don't think this was the work of a photographer, Kappy. I think her mother just missed her little girl, maybe a bit too much, considering that the calendar is just as it was when the girl left home. Weird that the woman's clothes are in this closet. Maybe she slept here. This next bedroom must be the master bedroom. Perhaps he slept in here. Older couples used to sleep apart, as my folks did. Daddy snored and it drove Mama nuts! That is a beautiful pastel drawing! I wonder who did it, her or him. It is so feminine, I think she drew it, along with the larger one we saw earlier. That's for sure her fur coat, but that hunk of firewood lamp isn't hers. I think that he slept in this bedroom, but when he passed, she moved into the daughter's bedroom, maybe because she missed him. She kept a few of his things in his closet, especially the ethnic shirt which looks as if it came from a Slavic country. There were a couple of pieces of similar clothing in the bedroom next to the bathroom, too. Some of the books in the room with the ruined painting had titles about learning English, so they may have not been born in America. I have a theory that these folks moved here shortly after WWII as a family - father, mother and their daughter. I get the feeling that they didn't have much when they came. The wife collected pretty, breakable things, lots of them, as if she was trying to replace lost items. Maybe they had to leave their things behind when they left their country. They weren't Jews, but Christians, judging from their books and Bibles. That pastel drawing might have been a picture of a foreign country, perhaps somewhere they missed. They lived here with their daughter until she grew up and left. Then the father passed away and the wife stayed here alone until she died. Then the daughter was trying to clear the house until it became unsafe due to the roof's failure and the basement's flooding. After that, she couldn't come back or she just didn't want to. She left the few precious items that were here, or maybe they just weren't precious to her. One thing is for sure...these folks loved cars and couldn't part with them even after they stopped running! Maybe it was him who wanted to keep them. Maybe he liked to tinker with them. This house represents another sad ending to someone's interesting lives. That's the way it goes, I guess. God forbid it ever happens to any of us! Thanks so much, Kappy, for risking your life for another video. This was an interesting explore, even if it was sad. I could imagine how it looked once, though, and it was beautiful! I really wish you wouldn't risk your life just for a video, though, dear brave explorer. I’m bummed wasn’t able too make it too the basement! Was unfortunate all the major roof damage was above the stairs in this house! Agreed! This place would’ve been a gem too find 10-15 years ago! Thank you for watching and the kind words! :)

Loved the Dodge Ambassador and the 65 Continental rag top is a classic. Great Craftsman house. Too bad we aren't saving them. It's our historical architecture being lost.

The beautiful porch will probably still be standing long after the house rots away! Would love to have a porch like that. Weird how the damage was so bad in some areas. The last two bedrooms were so beautiful. Almost untouched. Thank you for exploring all these places. Stay safe😊

That old house is just lonely. All the good wood, windows, doors, plumbing and furniture just wants to go home with someone who will rebuild it into a nice cozy tiny home. Love the bedroom furniture set and the lamp. Everyone loves a good chicken lamp. Another fascinating video. Thank you again.

Wow Kappy. This house surely tells a sad story. Looks to have been abandoned since the early 90s, late 80s possibly. Just ransacked and left to rot. The last bedroom looks like it hasn't been touched in 50 years. Totally gave me the creeps. I am sure this was absolutely beautiful at one time. Surprised the roof is that bad. The Mercury... Next to the house looks like it was parked pretty new. Too bad someone smashed the windows out. Looks like they ransacked that too. The one and only newest thing I saw was the mini fridge in the kitchen. Kudos to you and your will to continue exploring even as bad as this one is. Thank You for another great explore

Very cool Kappy. Stay careful. If bought new, it looks like they moved up from an early 1950s Dodge to a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible, then a 1980 s Mercury Grand Marquis. Punks busted out the windows. I like to think of these people in a better place with no illness being happy with no need for their possessions.

Can only imagine what this house looked like back in the day! I don't mean to bring anything paranormal in to this video, which is great by the way, but I couldn't help notice what looked like orbs around the 20:24 mark in that bedroom. Maybe I watch to many paranormal videos! But thanks for this video, I love seeing old houses like this!

I agree, this is so sad. The way the beds are dressed reminds me of my Great Aunt Phoebe, she kept hers like that and it's sad to see and brought back memories, I miss her. There was alot of family photos, and one particular stood out to me, in the loungeroom having a young girl in a colour photo looking around the 60-70s era to me. Makes me wonder how there isn't family still alive who could have some of the remaining possessions handed down to them. Such as photo albums, documents, the painting etc. The bedroom set in the last room is beautiful.some things can still be salvaged for collectors too. I wonder why this never happens and left to rot. So so sad. What a beautiful home and life once had here. Thank you kappy. I have much respect for you as a young man interested in preserving/documenting history and you honest care for the homes and lives lived in them. Thank you ❤ Watching from Melbourne Australia

I the way you film these houses. You slowly pan around and allow the viewer take in everything there is to see in each room. I feel like I am peeking over your shoulder. Other ppl swing the camera around so fast that I get dizzy watching the video. I also love how you get close ups of the different doorknobs on every door in house. I love old houses. The house i live in now once was abandoned and a hermit lived in 1 room of house with a cot and oil heater. Neighbors said when someone came on place he'd push out the corner of house to look outside to see who it is there to visit him. He walked everywhere he went, never had a car. 1960 a bachelor bought house and totally gutted out house and basically rebuilt it and rewired it himself. I just love the old houses. They have so much character.
