🧬 I always trust your recs as they align with mine which really makes me want to go back and reread the atlas six. I've been really wondering if maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it or something. amazing vlog as always!
🧫🧬 I would really like to read The Atlas Six! It's gonna be translated into Finnish (it's my mother tongue) but I think I will probably buy the original english edition for myself. I really like the vibes in your Autumnal videos!
This video was so cozy, I hope you find time for rest and self care over the holiday season 🕯🌠 Do you have any recommendations for someone living in Canada and considering moving to Edinburgh? Hoping to take a month long trip there eventually but would love any recommendations ✨🔬
@@AFrolicThroughFiction Hmm maybe if there is anything that you would have found helpful for someone to tell you before moving there or things to look into or check out on a scouting trip (both fun and practical). What are your favourite and least favourite things about Scotland & Edinburgh? 🖤
Olivie herself has said you should be fine without re-reading, however if you did want to reread its better to go for the republished version if you can for the edits!
Your videos are so relaxing. You have a real skill for aesthetically pleasing videography. Really impressive. As for the books: - Just finished Gallant by V.E.Schwab and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Kept me interested from the first page. - Read The Life changing magic of tyding up by Marie Kondo, and frankly wtf. A couple of things were interesting, everything else I fundamentally disagree. Weird book, does not spark joy. - I'm half way through The Book Eaters for almost a month now and that's because I'm really not getting into it. I think it was poorly marketed as gothic and creepy and it's really not. Cool concept that's completely wasted in my opinion. - Also half way through The Haunting Season: Nine Ghostly Tales for Long Winter Nights. Some are good, some are alright. That's it. - Finished the audiobook for Outlander and it was cute. That's it, especially the Scottish accents, highly recommend the audiobook. And finally I'll probably start reading The Atlas Six soon, heard a lot of good things about it, especially after this video. Physics and science are my jam so your description got me really hyped up.´ Edit: A billion edits because I keep forgetting stuff, sorry about that.
No need to apologise! 🤎 I hope you get some fab reads soon since most of these just seem "fine"! Can start to feel like a drag if there are too many meh books in a row aha. I did have to laugh at your review of Marie Condo being "does not spark joy" though ahahaha I really hope you love The Atlas Six as much as I do!
Kayan Kollyn ❤ The great fantasy adventure book series by V VN Mangukiya 😊 Mystical and esoteric world of Kayan kollyn is amazing. My favourite book after Harry Potter Waiting for your review 😊
🌡 I loved this vlog Ashley and you've convinced me to pick up Atlas Six and The Atlas Paradox. I've just picked up The Witch On The Well from my library.
🧬I haven’t started the Atlas Series yet but it’s on my TBR! I think I’ll really like the series especially the second book based on your descriptions. I’m a sucker for time travel and morally gray characters. Im an American and I will be moving to Belgium in March so it’s been a lil stressful trying to get into the festive mood bc of all they packing and planning we need to do! But here’s to hoping putting up decor will help! Can’t wait to see your thoughts on The Things We Do to Our Friends!
It honestly sounds like this series will be right up your street then! I hope you love it if you give it a go. I hope your move goes smoothly and you get some downtime to rest this December 🤎
@@AFrolicThroughFiction Very close to finishing it and soooo up my street! I've always loved languages and magic/fantasy so that's hitting the spot perfectly :)
Not as sure about The Atlas 6 series, I guess I really like to have at least one protagonist that I can mostly get behind, when they are all morally grey I just don't care as much 👨🔬👩🔬👩🔬🧑🔬
I've got to get to the atlas paradox before the end of the year! I even went to the effort of re-reading and making a summary video so I could remember what happens! Olivie Blake is so good at writing characters you like but also dislike at the same time.
