Scrapper is the best-looking one.Optimus looks like the oversized legends Hasbro did themselves and Hound's robot mode seems weird.They are still great projects though.

The transforming sound should play only once, it gets pretty annoying after a while listening to it over and over again the whole time of the transformation. But otherwise very impressive work, well done.

These designs will always be better than Michael Bay's transformers, in my opinion. Not only did he complicate their transformations, but he also made them hard to pinpoint which transformer is which without saying their names.

I love how all the people in the comments are talking about how Hasbro should be making these. I don't think they understand how expensive these would be to produce. If Hasbro isn't willing to manufacture the 2008 Millennium Falcon again or ROTF leader classes, I doubt these will become a retail product.

I have the Takara Transformers Audio Label *working* MP3 Soundwave released several years back. While he is a seriously butt-kicking figure, the guts of its MP3 playing are sadly terrible. I may gut him and add a color screen to his chest and other tweets now that the hardware to do it is so crazy cheap! The Original: Cons 1. Only worked with MiniSD (not full-size, not Micro) with a limit of 1GB. 2. MP3 *only*. 3. 128k *only* 4. No display at all (unless a flashing blue led counts). 5. While they took the time to make his buttons work, the nonexistent interface is a maddening experience of button-mashing, as no English instructions are included. Original: Pros 1. It DOES work! 2. If you keep him at about 3/4 of his max volume, sound is tolerable. 3. Standard 3.55mm headphone jack works great to connect him to a decent stereo/EQ (I’m guessing a 5-7 band EQ to tweak the sound would yield far better results. 4. Fantastic robot/tape recorder design (get “Spark Blue”- it’s his original G1 paint scheme). The other option is all white. Ick! 5. Nice size! He’s just a bit over 5” robot mode won’t look bad at all with current “Generations”, and of course easier to put in your pocket without being crazy-bulky. Overall: 1. $135 import that sucks at what’s important. 2. NO MP3 display (not even a cheap, monochrome one). 3. I have to give them 8,673 bonus points for conceiving and creating him! I dearly wish #Takara/Hasbro would exploit the snot out of making TF’s that *could* be made functional, made functional- I.E.- Soundwave’s transforming tapes could have a built-in MicroSD slot. (Ravage for hardcore metal, Rumble for 4-on-the-floor EBM danceable, Rat-Bat for Gothic (of course). Just put songs on them and the feature of being able to swap (fully transformable) “Tapes” for your different mixes/genres would be incredible with a color (even touchscreen) interface on his chest (for reference, #Walmart.com sells 3.5” color displays *designed* for RPi’s for under $15!
