@johnchase4408
@johnchase4408 5 лет назад
@@lisacaron7224 Ummm. NO. You're Wrong! The Lady (homeowner) that called them asked, they didn't respond and SHE answered ger own question. They did NOT answer anything she asked. They ignored her and talked amongst themselves. She even offered the bird to stay there to observe it and and release it at night. That is what should have happened. It lives around there. These "rescuers" are typical animal elitist assholes. The guy wasn't even an animal rescuer. Neither of them knew anything about that owl. The Lady Homeowner knew and told them to put a towel over it's head which SHE provided. They didn't know enough to bring one or do it without being told. The Owl's wing wasn't broken. That's obvious and no damage to it's neck, also obvious. It could have been released right then. But they have to play hero, bring it who knows where to "observe". They wouldn't even know what to look for and I'm sure they're not paying a wild life animal veterinarian to come put and do an exam. They want to show everyone where they bring it, "hey look at us! We saved this Owl and now we must examine it, observe it and release it back into the wild, at night...aren't we awesome"?

TY for saving our precious owl... I hope you decided to let him go... Just leave him on the grass.. To take his time.. And you leave him in peace.. He didn't seem to need medical help. Otherwise.. If he was way too tender... Then to put in a enclosed cage with fresh water and fresh meat.. Steak.. Chicken.. Or Hamburger... And let him be still for a half a day...Not sure he can fly without further injuring himself.. Right away. Thank you again for rescuing that wonderful bird. I love you for it!!!

Marlene Ansley +tieetop's comment had nothing whatsoever to do with "where the camera was." It's operator was every bit as concerned with "SAVING the owl" as the other two. The FACT is that she had a completely different perspective on the owl's plight and was merely trying to suggest possible alternatives to what the other two were doing. No rescuer should have such tunnel vision that they are not open to feedback by others who are in a position to see what the others can't. I'll lighten up if you WISE UP.

I guess this is the reason we don't let Pokemon use item. Jokes aside, I'm glad this bird was able to get help. Recently where I live, a little sparrow got stuck on a sticky bug trap. It was completely stuck like it belly flopped right on it. I got it off but was scared I would have to cut off any flight feathers, which would have been bad since its a wild bird but I got it off. I took it back home and washed if off because its feathers were pretty much glued together and kept it over night. I took it outside the next morning and it flew away. This world is hard for animals to live in when humans are involved it turns out.

@letrebuchet6098
@letrebuchet6098 8 лет назад
Marlene Ansley The fact is that most people in this world would try to save an animal in such a fix, if only by reporting it to the fire department, SPCA, or some other animal welfare organization for appropriate action. Once, a resident of our condo complex called me, as Community Supervisor, to report a skunk whose head was stuck in the drain outlet of one of our dumpsters. Since I was ill-equipped to handle such a testy situation, I called a local rescue expert who came wearing a special suit to protect him from getting sprayed. With him working at the "business end" of the skunk, I got into the dumpster and smeared Crisco onto the skunk's neck and head. Since the drain valve was spiraled inside for the attachment of a screw-in pipe, the rescuer chose to gently turn the skunk round and round, essentially unscrewing it from the drain hole. Needless to say, a sizable crowd had formed by this time, all of whom were rooting for us and the skunk, who never sprayed -- possibly because it was too exhausted and/or knew that we were trying to extract it. Eventually, the skunk was freed and we all watched it trundle off into the woods, sadder but wiser, without showing any evidence of damage. My condo association paid for the hiring of the rescuer; and this was not the first or last time that either I or our janitorial service rescued dumpster-involved animals in distress, most occasions involving raccoons who got into the dumpsters but were unable to climb out. To quote from the Diary of Anne Frank, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart."
