Very Good bus ! What a good rule of thumb is to have the man speak of the mechanics, and the lady to give a Ture of the Interior ! It adds a nice touch to a bus video !
I drove a 72 passenger tc and Freightliners for several years and those mirrors that you didn't care for the look off are a important safety feature I would consider reinstalling them because they help with blind spots
What I find most amazing about these conversions is how well decorated and functional they are. The inside of this bus looks like a house! I love it (and the little dog too).
These two are a great team because i can tell his girl will get right in there and work hard and she takes pride i hope he appreciates her she looks like a really great person.
What a great build! Love the warmth of the wood ceiling. The whole thing seems comfy cozy. Love all the space that comes with a bus and this couple sure has used it all very well. It looks well thought out to me. Very impressed with this couple. They are so young but have created something so complex and did a great job.
I absolutely love your skooolie home.. It had my dream entry iron rails.. I thought that no one would think of that👍👍🥰🥰🥰 You color scheme is my dream bud home.. I love the brick walls for the kitchen off set from the black &white colors. You guys are in NJ.. I would love to see your home I'm in NY.. wow 👍🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love everything; shoe 👞 cabinet, Floorplan, farmhouse sink...location of sink, HUGE wardrobe, doggie cubby, brick wall and wood stove....the only thing (4me a BIG thing) I dislike is the lack of a bathroom sink....
Nice and well designed camper. The ceder ceiling, brick wall is just awesome. The greenery gives it a freshing feel. Like the dogs place too. Happy travels.
R Ann Sayger: great minds think alike…..I was going to suggest a mini split also. Their bus is beautiful in its design and craftsmanship. Good job you two! I love it!!! Safe and happy travels!!! 😎✌️🤙🤘😎
Kudos you did a great diy job & made it into a home! You show you don’t have to be an expert carpenter, etc to do a good job with bus conversions! A lot of thought went into planning & building this! I was quite surprised when you mentioned the insurance trouble you had because that’s something most people don’t mention or think of! It’s important to know that for all the people who are thinking of doing conversions themselves! They will be better prepared thanks to you!! Good luck!
Excellent conversion. I suggest using Coroplast panels cut to fit skylights. The corrugated plastic has enough give to bend, yet firm enough to snap in place. Cut it small enough to easily slip in, with a few longer tabs to hold it in place. What I used for van windows. Used double sided carpet tape to hold reflectix to black coroplast. You are not worried about stealth so you could use white.
This couple took on a huge challenge (with, most likely, very little knowledge or prior building skills) and produced a high quality build. They should be very proud of what they have accomplished.
You can install a three way toggle switch and it will reverse the polarity to run the motor backwards so the fan will work in both directions not that difficult to do and it won't cause any issues with the motor, enjoy.
This is exactly why I love people with DIY ideas like myself.. because thanks this video you just gave me an idea for my camper trailer I'm going to building a stand up shower.. thanks you guys in the bus DIY Style..
This is one of your best videos Patrick! Thanks to NJOA for producing it. What an outstanding build for a DIY project. They really planned out and executed a great use of space. Their decor gives this skoolie a real nice home feeling. Hard to believe this nice couple is right out of high school for their first build! And they want to build them for a living? Where can I invest?? Also, love that cute little dog.
Wow! Watched so many vids but this has gotta be one of my favourites. Live in the UK but love the bus homes. Hope you two and your dogs are super happy on the road 😄
So excited for this lovely couple! They have done a beautiful job, and the 3 years of labor shows. Good luck to them, and thank you, NJOA, for posting this.
Excellent tour! Actually even better than that because you kept the descriptions brief ( i.e. excruciating TMI of drawer and cabinet etc. contents) and the pace moving. Thanks for sharing your home. It’s a winner! Happy travels.
You would think that it would be the same like other conversions why not, right? it's the same rectangular space... But it always turns out to be awesome, each and everyone of them has distinct characters and I think that's the beauty and appeal of vans, bus etc conversions and this one is no exception of that awesomeness, beautiful build, simple and clean, nice couple cute dogs, perfect. I enjoyed watching this actually everything I watched here in your channel Patrick I enjoyed a lot. Safe travels always.
for your sky lights, Walmart has those thin adjustable curtain rods and if you put one at the top and one at the bottom of each skylight window. Then make blackout curtains with the curtain rod slide throughs on the top and bottom of each curtain. Cut the curtains in half so when you push them open you get lots of light without the curtains taking up too much room. Also, you can get vinyl faux stained glass and stick it to the skylights so you still get lots of beautiful sunlight without it being too bright, and their are many different kinds that are very beautiful. You can order them on the internet or sometimes Lowes or Home Depot carries them but you have a lot less selection.
Neat couple. Really like their bus. The tile in the shower is really nice. And the metal partition for the plants to grow up on is a super find and fits perfect! Really a neat home. The outside table is super nice too along with the shower. Enjoyed the video Patrick! ❤️💜💚
This is one of the most beautiful buses 🚍 I’ve seen the finishes are nice and it’s just the right amount of what u need love it great job. Love the brick walls
I love your bus! You guys definitely put in lots of work! It is an amazing build, congrats with your journey. Your plants are thriving and beautiful! The cockpit is TOPNOTCH!!!!!
Patrick, you are correct, this is one of the nicest skoolies I’ve ever seen! Definitely at the top! I would hire them to build a tiny home someday! They are a such a sweet couple… and still together after building their own home on wheels! That says a lot =). Have a great weekend! Looks like another rainy one here in the northeast, but we’ll take whatever sunshine comes our way! ~ Maria
I love the way you designed the shower! It's beautiful! A quick fix for covering the skylights, you can do tension rods, that way they're easily adjustable. Safe travels 🙏
Speaking of insurance, it would seem there would be some company that would want to be friendly to skoolie owners and suck up a large market share of the business. My wife and I will be building a skoolie this year (2024) and spending our retirement years on the road! You guys did such a cool job on your bus! Very impressive!
