I’m glad I came across your channel! 👍 I am actually going to make these. I am looking to find a different crust though. I just made some similar to this last night, except I put marshmallows on top of half of mine. They are so great though…lol. Amazing….it made me happy to see your video just be there when I got here tonight… 😁 I only have one suggestion for you though….if you don’t want to put the recipe in the description box, please say the measurements when you are making the recipe. This is for several reasons why I say that. One being it is considerate to your viewers who are looking for a quick recipe and don’t want to go to a big fuss to find one. Two, if you give the measurements as you are making the recipe more people will watch until the end. Therefore, they will check out more videos from you. 😊 usually from my experience if one doesn’t provide one, it will the other. Plus their website as a bonus. 😉 P.S. I am certainly going to like, share and I’ve already subscribed 😁😁😁😁
Hi! Thank you for commenting! I put the recipe link in the description because sending folks to the blog is the only way to make a little money back for providing free tutorials, but I totally see what you're saying. This would be great with a variety of different crusts, let me know what you decide to go with!
Hi, you're totally right! I tried to break it down differently in the recipe for ease of following, but also the order is slightly different. Whatever order you choose it will be delicious, which I talk about a little in the blog post!
Hello! Chef, I love your recipe. What can I do if I want to cover all the pan with condense milk all the top? Can you suggest a tip for don"t bring me the coconut and the Milk whit the spatula.. Thank you
Great question. Unfortunately as soon as you touch a rubber spatula or offset spatula to the sticky coconut, it will come with the spatula. You can try spraying the spatula with nonstick cooking spray but that will only work if you have a large pool of sweetened condensed milk. The best bet is to pour the milk slowly and steadily and move your hand back and forth in lines across the whole baking dish. As it bakes, it will spread just enough to fill in the gaps.
You didn't miss anything! I've thought about why they historically have that name too! I think it comes out to: 1. Graham cracker crumbs 2. Butter (used to bind the graham cracker crumbs) 3. Shredded coconut 4. Semi-sweet chocolate chips 5. Butterscotch chips 6. Walnuts 7. Sweetened condensed milk
7 Layer Bars get their name since there are typically seven layers of flavors to them. You have the butter, cookie crust, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, coconut, and the sweetened condensed milk topping.
Hi Poly! You should be ok without the coconut, but if you want to make the bottom crust as more of a traditional graham cracker crust here's a recipe: cheflindseyfarr.com/baked-graham-cracker-crust/
Hi. I was making this in the 90s. Used to make it for pot luck and for kids parties. Now I don’t. Unfortunately. Too sweet. Bad for insulin resistance.
You'll get all the good stuff in whichever order you prefer! These are a layered dessert, so the order is more so up to how you're feeling at the moment as long as you have the foundation set up. Happy baking!
Love how you layer the milk I seen ppl drench it if u don’t wanna use nuts I think marshmallow mini will be cute o dunno we can try both thanks so much I need to learn to cook for my husband and kids I’m 35 and buying a house soon. But not kids nor husband lol
I don't think you should wait for them to cool. Get some ooey gooey right away! I usually put the coconut directly on top of the graham cracker so i get more of a Mounds effect.
YOU ARE SO ENTERTAINING THANK YOU WE NEED THE FUNNY IN THIS DAY AND AGE I THINK THIS IS THE BEST RECIPE I HAVE FOUND SO FAR MY MOM USED TO MAKE THESE YEARS AGO I AM EXCITED TO TRY THEM
I love this but only indulge during the holidays. I always take advantage of the internet as a reminder. I love this woman’s personality and means of delivery. I am a little of this and a lot of that. It’s how I cook. Kudos and lots of brownie points ❤️❤️
Hi Kevin! You're totally right! I tried to break it down differently in the recipe for ease of following, but also the order is slightly different. Whatever order you choose it will be delicious, which I talk about a little in the blog post!
Unbelievable where are the amounts? I will just throw a little bit of this in and a little bit of that and then we’ll do this and we’ll do a little that. That is not a recipe. Very annoying.
