What is your first impression of Chinese natural beauty, the answers mostly like Guilin or Yangtze River, Zhangjiajie, but those just 1/3 of China, and generally, the impression of China. What is the rest of 2/3 of China? It is Chinese wildest west. How many ppl know about that, and how many Chinese actually seen that? Actually,China has the best resources for outdoor activities in the world. The North side of Himalaya , the Eastern Tianshan Mountain, The Hengduan mountain, The Kunlun Mountain, The Eastern Karakoram are in China. The north side of the Mt Everest, the north side of K2, Tibetan plateau are in China. China has thousands of glacier peaks climb up over 24000 feet(7500 meters) above sea level,China also has huge deserts and grasslands, great lakes, long coastal line.Various vegetations, terrains. But, most of the Chinese only know these from thier Geography class and they don’t even have a concepts about these national treasures. The outdoor sports is not popular in China, Chinese ppl prefer to spend their time and money on street foods, karaoke buying luxury brands and their crazy phone apps, but not to discover the true beauty in the country. Such a waste.Hope more and more ppl can see the Chinese. Wild West but not only the traditional Chinese landscape
Very nice video. Only one thing seems wrong. ChengDu doesn't have China's 4th biggest airport. It must be: 1. BeiJing 2. ShangHai 3. HongGong 4. GuangZhou or ShenZhen...
According to Wikipedia, Chengdu Shaungliu is the second busiest airport in China by number of passengers, fourth by number of planes served, and seventh by cargo/freight volume. Although the list doesn't include Hong Kong, which would be number one on all three metrics. After Hong Kong, Guangzhou is number 2 for passengers and aircraft, Shanghai is number 2 for cargo/freight. I'm not sure how they're measuring 'size' of the airport in this video. Also not sure how accurate the Wikipedia statistics are, but they quote the CAAC as their source, so they're probably right.
For an average quality of traveling experience in 7 days, it'll cost you 1200$ regardless the aircraft tickets. And China is about 68 times bigger than Bangladesh, Sichuan is about 3 times bigger, so if I were you, I'll try to have more time for this trip. And welcome to China
When people buy ticket+hotel and transport also expenses theirs money holiday trip , they needed friendly government service and touring systems despair from civilian laws against human rights ( tourist protection laws) handle and organized . While the route bus and market so hard on map to pin and review special Google map ,noted refer by English speaker all over the world favour , It will taken slowly 10 time to the west, means they have to depending while await .
Sichuan food you eat once in a while. Most dish cook in heavy oil I mean not just a little bit of oil, what I meant here is a lot of oil. Some dish just heat up pot of oil and pouring on top of the dish. Everything cooked in hot chilly oil. The spicy take over the sense of taste at the end you only experience the saltiness and hot chilly oil. Talk about food Guangdong is good and Shandong is healthier may be they cook for sea food and less oil.
There's a lot of unnatural sounding English in this promo video, I agree. It's a pity the English-speaking voice actor didn't (or felt he couldn't) point it out before committing it to record.
At 10:15, "It is China's largest Yi ghetto". God damned it, do you guys not check for mistakes before you publish your stuff? I had quite much amusement with the Yi ghetto statement. Well, maybe it is an actual Yi ghetto, for China is very famous for not caring too much about the human rights nor minority rights of the 21st century. :D
But the "not caring minority rights" things is pure propaganda. We have our "affirmative act", Minorities are granted exemption on birth control policy, granted extra points in college entrance examination, provided nearly full coverage of college tuition and fees. The government has funded on mosque so much that some Han Chinese are pissed off.
Be there minority rights or not, many minority languages in China are at risk of disappearing within this century, and many minority cultures are becoming identical with the Han culture - mainly due to the country's popular culture (TV programs, for example) being of Han origin, and also due to the massive influx of Han Chinese into minority regions. Do the minorities have their own language education at school?
Jag Villain But they did not disappear! Which minority can’t speak their own language? Our TV shows often promote minority songs in their own languages
I am from Sichuan province and I have friends/classmates from Dong, Zang, Wei and Hasake ethnics. Some of them come from autonomous regions and some are not. I did not know where you get the idea *not caring ... about ... minority rights* from. Based on my experience with them, they probably from richer regions, they can speak their language, they can have more children compared to Han, they can attend schools where both Chinese and their languages are taught (for Han, we have English and Chinese courses), they could attend ethnic universities if they want (always with fewer points), and most importantly, we do not have stereotypes for each other and we respect each other. We believe that although we might come from different ethnics, we are all Chinese. There might be some policies that favour them, apart from that, we are the same. In China, *going back to blah blah* would never be an offensive word for our minorities. However, I actually heard words like *going back to Asia* while abroad. [ Talking about the language, there are some languages that some minorities speak are actually dialects. Also, some of them do not have their own written forms. ]
don't worry, chinese r very friendly(much more friendly than the west people to Chinese living in their land) to foreigners.if u have any problem,u can ask for help.
