@@vigen_nogi8189 Like he said, he has another channel, with longer form videos on it. Why not check it out? I'm sure that he'll have done some travelling and photography in places, far to the East of the Vistula River.
I just can't help getting really emotional, when watching these pictures, mainly because proberbly all these people are no longer here. And the music is so Beautiful,

Its so crazy that people now days have forgotten these things that happened and the war that blood was spilled on their doorstep. Rest In Peace, Lest We Forget🇦🇺🇬🇧
Love these pictures! My grandfather was in WWII fighting in Italy and France. 36th Infantry Division. He was injured in France, captured, and became a POW. He's 99 years old and in remarkable health. He occasionally gives talks about his experiences.
Sir could you explain more about the "bad side" meaning? Because Germany wanted peace but UK wanted war, Even A.H Said several times in his speech that he wanted peace not war, They hate any people that surpassed them because of their little ego.@@cgstudiosthebaconbro
@@JaHail-oy6vq Germany wanted peace by killing all the jews and making it so that everyone was like them, UK wanted war so that everyone can be themselves and not have to follow a dictator
Rest in peace. Everyone who served, fought, and died for what was dear to them. No matter what country, they were human. Remember that 70 million people died to give us what we have today
Buildings remain, the person who built them passes away, and only his memories remain. Are we fighting over time that passes or over memories that remain? ❤
My Dad was wounded in The Battle of the Bulge. He received a Purple Heart. He was US Army, 28th Division. Wish he was still here. He would have loved to see all these great photos.
@@AleksandrDeicidethe U.S. landed forces in north Africa with the British in November 1942, which eventually led to the surrender of 250k German forces in north Africa and allowed U.S. and British forces to open another front on Germany which in theory would weaken german resistance on the eastern front.the germans put up stiff resistance in italy however.it wasn't until the largest amphibious assault in history was done by U.S. and allies in france and opened up a third front in the west were the germans truly weakened.these operations tied up millions if german forces who otherwise would have been deployed against the soviets.to be honest,i dont think any one nation could have defeated the germans.
Wow, So beautiful. Thank you for sharing the historical pictures then and now. It takes me through history almost live. Sometimes seeing a tree that is still there, an electric pole or a building that is about in the same structure.
I wish my Grandfather could see these. He didn’t fight in WW2, as he was only a child. He did serve as a Royal Engineer, with a fascination for the history of WW2, which he passed to me through stories and documentaries.
@@VowToTheethe belt on the first guy looks to be SS. He is also armed with the G43, something not usually given to conscripts in Berlin in 1945. First dude is likely an SS veteran of the eastern front, he probably participated or failed to stop the killings of civilians.
They need to put these wonderful pictures of our ancestors in schools. Hopefully they can see the sacrifices that these young people, not much older than them, made for our countries.
The images of that time convey the scale of human suffering felt on all sides..the images of the now transport the past into the present, suddenly decades distanced have become only yesterday..we two generations were not so different...their struggle in war became our peace, may it prevail forever in their name. X
Never forget what people like him and his brothers in arms went through to gain the peace we take for granted, the went through a nightmare to ensure we would never have to experience this. Keep his memory and share his stories to your children. Never let his memory dissappear.
Danke!
I was born in the 70‘s in Germany. What the Allies did for Germany and Europe will never be forgotten!!! Eternal gratitude to heroes! Let‘s always continue to fight for humanity, freedom, democracy.
I actually admire this democracy, but there is a matter: Are there human rights? Germany came out, for example. Why do you support Israel in light of its barbaric actions? There are those who contradict these concepts, for example, your support for gay people.
QEPD y QDDG.
You spoke great words. And so true. But Ukraine is going through this same pictures. And that is happening today in 2023. All because a monster wants to bully and steal from peaceful people. Anyone who will bomb a pregnant women's and children's hospital is nothing but a cowardly monster and may God strike him down where he stands. Hell is even to good for him.
This channel is one of the most soul moving channels I have come across on RU-vid. The time and research to find these places must have been very difficult! It’s very well done and thanks for posting!
It's truely a shame how many people have forgotten about the fighting and struggles of the now dead from war. I understand monuments can't be placed everywhere but we should never forget what all of them died for. If we keep fighting amongst ourselves like this... Then unfortunately world war 3 might just be right around the 😔
É TÃO TRISTE VER ESSAS FOTOS SÃO DE PESSOAS QUÊ NÃO ESTÃO MAIS ENTRE NÓS VER ESSAS IMAGENS DELES E DEPOIS VER SÓ O LOCAL ONDE ELES PASSARAM...QUÊ TODOS ESSES COMBATENTES ESTEJAM COM DEUS😢
It’s amazing how the blown up buildings were not bulldozed and rebuilt. They were restored to proper order and we can look back today and see what those brave men fought and so many died to protect.
I truly hope so. So many brave German soldiers gave their lives fighting for their country, not for facism. There is a definite distinction between the two and any soldier will lay down their life for their country and fellow soldier will have always have my respect. I'm American, but I'm very proud of my German heritage. Bless all the men and women that sacrificed so much for this horrible conflict.
@@kwantoonno actually the truth is no one knew of the holocaust only hitler the people dumping the bodies in mass graves and executing people the ss knew nothing and even the German army the ones carrying out war crimes in Serbia and the ussr they knew nothing 😢

@David Merchant 4321 -- Never say it was all for nothing. My dad and uncle served in WW2, both home safe and had families and lives. Do u have family, if not we'll come visit you. We are in West Palm, a VA near us too. God bless you for giving uß freedom today. That is definitely something. Thank you. ❤️🌹🇺🇸
Love these vignettes ...want to visit each place. So in awe of those who gave the last full measure of devotion so we could live free. God Bless the souls of those who fought for us and especially those who never came home.
One of the photos is so telling. You see young people staring at their phones, oblivious to the challenges faced by our greatest generation, so that they can have the freedoms they enjoy.
