I remember when I had a cavity I had to get laughing gas and when I got out when I tried to drink water my mouth was numb and I couldn’t even hold the water in my mouth for a split second, it was terrible.

I don't react to Novocaine like most people: I sometimes don't get numb at all or if I do it only works for a short time (and I've had problems with other local anesthetics for other things too). So when I have dental work done, they have to do a nerve block on me. It works, but it does scare me because if they mess up, I could end up with permanent nerve damage to the facial nerve.

I had the paralyzed face/can't close eye happen before 😂 Dentist kept giving me numbing shots with no reaction until it hit me all at once, couldn't get anything done and sent home with an eye patch.

i once got my mouth numbed when i was getting a silver crown on my baby tooth, it was really annoying and also a bit painful when the numbing was going away, that tooth is almost out now tho.

Whenever I got a filling done, I never got numbing done because it didn't hurt. I hate waiting for the numbing to go away. I'll only get it if I need a reconnel or a tooth pulled.
