​@@davidtrickingthere too, Pinto absolutely outperformed Tristan. Tristan is way overhyped. His tricks are messy AF compared to Pinto. He's just way less talented and skilled and it shows.

I must be missing something, cause the crowd is losing their SHIT after the grey shirt dude, and I'm like "meh, the other guy looked way cooler to me". Obviously both are doing insane stuff I can't even fathom though.

Jacob won the round and Tristan won in spirit by putting up a fight in face of the impossible; the result was the best possible outcome, in my opninion.

+Daniel Green Do you think being pushy means disrespectful? Tristan and Jacob are both very invested in their battle, which is very nice to watch. I dont think there is any lack of respect, from both sides. By the way Tristan is actually a very humble person.

+Benjamin Cavailles Pinto taunts Tristan by giving him a power move to 1-up. Tristan easily wins the 1st round and shows he isn't anyone to be messed around with. (0-1 win on strategy) Pinto easily wins the 2nd round because he insta-responds with the final move of Tristan's combo cleaner and 1-ups it. (1-1 not only does he win by pure technicality, also strategy/improvisation-wise) Tristan responds with a fairly standard combo with predictable transitions. (honestly...boring filler for this battle imho) Pinto goes for technicality and stumbles on the last move....Tristan should have won the last round due to a ridiculous powermove 1-up. (1-2 win on beast mode) BUT...Tristan's non-verbal communication sucked (body posture / gestures / taunts), battles are part about spirit and Pinto couldn't be a better example of great non-verbal communication, strategy and improvisation when it comes to battles. Everything from the point-your-toes gestures to the walking close to Tristan when he starts his combo is very slick, calculated yet respectful. He is ridiculously on-point when it comes to response timing and also his 1-ups are a quick, appropriate and direct response. Tristan's attitude shows: I'm a good tricker and I'm going to do some hard moves which you have to acknowledge. Pinto's whole attitude CLEARLY shows: come hit me with whatcha got and I'll do it better, harder and cleaner. (THIS imho is battling) Even though this is a small part it does count a little bit. You could agrue Pinto won, you could argue Tristan won, you could argue it's a tie.

+Daniel Green I agree, and I don't see any point in (others here) pointing out that Tristan is "actually" a very humble person; they both are very humble and nice guys, I talked with both at Hooked, and the attitude is just part of the game. We all know that, or should know that. Tristan was def the underdog, and the audience just wanted to see someone stick up to Pinto. That's exactly what they got and Pinto won the round, everything went pretty perfectly.

It's not really a "move". It's a type of landing (split landing). What he did was a double cork with a split landing

won that until round 3 or he made a disgusting reception on the penultimate figure with the leg well bent which will not prevent him from blaming Tristan for his lack of cleanliness ... Not to mention the hand on the ground at the end. If we consider the battle round by round and that a missed figure taints the whole round (you aim too high then you lose) then Tristant wins. The Americans tend to think that you can try the heavy movements but no penalty if you play too high, that's why they voted Pinto ....
