Tbh what really saddens me about the zeb wells run is the fact that zeb wells actually wrote some pretty decent spider-man stories like the one where spider-man and wolverine hang out during wolverine's birthday so yeah either that this whole run is the fault of the editorial team at Marvel or zeb wells was drunk while writing this garbage so yeah

Tell me Paul isn't Zeb Wells as a self insert. All you need to do is darken Zeb's hair and give him glasses and he will look exactly like the character. And listen, there are some things I can accept for MJ's character, up to and including not being with Peter, but anyone that says that Paul is better for her is a moron. The relationship between the two is an example of Stockholm Syndrome, and considering that Paul is, I suspect, a self insert, that suggest he thinks he can get a hot woman by kidnapping and isolating them.

3:10 I think everyone didn't expect Nick Spencer to do such an amazing job writing Spider-Man. Despite it's convoluted retconning of Sinsa Past, Spencer's run has aged like a fine wine and is probably the best modern Spider-Man run. Of course, Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) is absolutely incredible. Hickman and Checchetto are doing such a great job reinventing the Spider-Man mythos.
Ultimate Spider-Man, the original run, is my favorite comic run of all time. Followed closely by the Multiple Man X-Factor run and Runaways. But Ultimate Spidey is my absolute favorite comic. You have no idea how badly I wanted to know what happened to Gwen, and Jessica Drew, the gender swapped clone of Peter Parker. Or the only actual JOURNALIST JJJ rather than these FOX News wannabe versions all the others have turned into. Okay, except for 616 Jonah, who’s just an idiot. Kong, and Johnny Storm, and Iceman. Cool Aunt May. The most badass version of Kitty Pryde ever presented. But did I get any of that? Nope. I detest this new run with the burning intensity of a thousand quasars.
I hated the 1st ultimate universe. A hateful francophobic Cap? Wanda and Pietro? I HATED THE ULTIMATE UNIVERSE. But I'm so desperate for a good Spider-Man story.I did pick up this title. And wow. Ultimate spider man is everything that amazing Spiderman should be. How is it that spider man is such a great character and has so many terrible books?
Supporting Amazing Spider-Man enriches the people who are dismantling the comic book industry and hate the fans. Hopefully people will find Ultimate Spider-Man as a better alternative!

Try comicstorian , that channel from what I can tell has negative cursing and has been a staple in introducing people to comics for like a decade or something
