Turns out, I was trying to score the mirror on the wrong side. Shout out to the 2 Dazzlers that let me know I was doing it wrong. I’ll try again soon. 💕
It's beautiful the way it is. In my opinion, if you square it off, it'll look almost like any other mirror you purchase in store. This way it looks very unique.
I did the same in my formal living room in 1992! It probably STILL LOOKS great. I finished to the end of each wall & I can tell you, I like it (yours) just as it is. Definitely more attractive. 👏
Very pretty. I saw something similar designed by another diyer and her husband, to their entire wall. Yours is very pretty. You inspire me to this to my wall. Thank you.
Hello Denise! I think it’s beautiful as is, but I’m curious to see how it looks with the smaller pieces. I love all of your designs. Have a great weekend. 😊
Your home is beautiful..the mirrors compliment the room nicely. I think it looks good as is..the design adds character. Maybe cut out pieces from silver paper plates and place them in the empty spaces to see which design you like better.
This is beautiful, glass cutting is so hit and miss🤦🏾♀️ I like the squared off look but I wouldn't even try, I'd save money and aggravation since it's already stunning🤷🏾♀️❤🙏🏾
Dear Denise, I would leave it like that - it looks really beautiful and unique 🥰🥰🤩🤩. With the triangles - in my opinion - it would just look like "all others" 🙁. I really like the open sides. Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us! 👍👍👏👏
ABOVE AND BEYOND A W E S O M E ! I think you should leave it as is. It's BEAUTIFUL . My Mother (may she rest in peace) had the entire wall between two room entrances covered with a solid piece of glass then had a piece of smoked glass cut in a scalloped pattern to frame the solid piece. Glass is beautiful and reflects class.
Denise it looks great however I think you ought to complete what you started! You wanted it to go wall-to-wall and a glass cutter can do just that for you. I often see RU-vidrs skipping steps and you are not one of those people. I realize it looks good now like I said however you should do what you originally planned. You don't have to do it right away but I think it would look great wall to wall!!!❤❤❤
Hello Denise, I am subscribed to your site. This latest video I was watching you cut a mirror. The reason why I wanted to mention something to you because back in the day i’ll say a few decades ago I took up a hobby of butter glass windows. The cutter you were using I think it’s called a Fletcher cutter back then that was the latest and the greatest. However when you went to cut the mirror I believe you were cutting it on the wrong side when I made my glass windows I would cut the glass on the smooth side. Also, Denise, when I cut my pieces I worked on a piece of plywood. And the reason why is because I would have an edge on my plywood board so I could have nails to pound in the board to secure the piece of glass. Then I would take my cutter and cut the glass. you can score the glass more than once because it’s the score in the glass that will cause the glass to break. And just with a tap from that one end of the cutter, it will crack straight up also be very careful because it will be awfully sharp and I emphasize awfully sharp. I hope this helps you and if you have any questions just hit me back. Thank you. Bunnyzrush
I thought that it looked beautiful. I have been contemplating adding mirrors to my dinning room that is also small. Your video has inspired me to try it. Thank you!
Hi thanks for sharing, I have done the same in my kitchen for the full length of the wall. I also planned to cut the triangles, but it is not possible with this glass mirror. I have ruined multiple mirrors and gave up. To do that it needs to be cut in the factory. So I just left it as it is and everyone loves it.
