simply amazing, i would like a minecraft waterfall tutorial because im more oriented in this animation sense, cheers and thanks in advance from Dominican Republic
I don't need it and I don't need to make waterfalls, but I couldn't not buy this one also because the price is attractive just to see how the magic of this shader works 😉
Maybe something is different In Blender 4? When I click on the existing waterfalls, they only have one UVMap named UVMap. When I get to the point of linking modifiers and materials I can't really continue as I don't see Gradient (UVs for 0,0) for any of the existing waterfalls. Thanks
Shader doesn't work at all for me in 3.6. I open up the file and the example waterfalls are all invisible. The only way the meshes show up is by toggling the geonodes modifiers off. Otherwise I'm just staring at a grey cube with some semicircular things. And yes the file is set to Eevee by default.
I don't like buying things. Actually I won't buy things. I'm sort of defeating myself if the point is to create something, but I give up and buy something, especially if it doesn't even really work how I want anyway. I noticed a lot of what you do is buy something, then try to make it work. That in itself is useful though. How many times do we make something ourselves that doesn't quite work as expected or intended? It looks great, and you did fix it so you could use it for your intended purpose. I wish I could find more instruction on fixes like this. Those are my thoughts.
Dude I've been following you since what? 6/7 years to first learn sketchup into more depth. Now im changed to blender since 2 years and you're still here.😂 thats great man. It's like you've been a mentor to me for all this time. Great work🙏🙏
Having a bit of a problem: 1. When I go into "Edit Mode" and choose my "UVMap" (not "Gradient"), everything shows up white. When I hit "Play", I can see the pixels changing ever so slightly, but scaling in "UV editing" has 0 effect. 2. I've gone to "Shading" and changed the color of the "Emission" in the "Principled BSDF" to black as suggested in one of the other comments, but still nothing. I'm running: i7-9700 16GB of RAM GTX 2060 ...and the "Ocean" texture add-on works flawlessly. Any suggestions are welcome. Could you also do a video on Bbbn19's "Realtime Shader Displacement" too, please? I mimic the procedure used in the "Wave" texture but the 3d effect won't work. Thank you.
Going through this now. One question: how to set tings up so that the objects don't suddnely disappear when rotating, scaling? I am new to Blender, so maybe there is some obvious setting, or something related to camera clip settings? Thanks!
Nice but 2 questions... 1, I'm trying to do this to a cylinder object, but every time I add the gradient map the whole cylinder disappears. 2, Is there a way to get this effect from blender to UE4? thnx.
Pretty sure it will kind of work, but the render speed will be dramatic :D as this method is relies on dozens layers of transparency, and Cycles doesn't do that well.
I bought the shader and immedietly it didn't work, everytime i render its basically all black or black and bits of white it doesnt render it out at all right biggest waste of money, dont waste your money on it
Oh, thanks for showing me this wonderful material. Is pretty awesome! But, unfortunately, I could have used this material if only it hadn't cost too much... 😯😯
Just bought the shader and following along, but there is no other UV maps to search or select, unsure if this is now removed for 3.1.0 alpha, and only available on previous versions, but the shader is not looking great, blotchy black areas to the waterfall and water. Any help would be greatly appreciated here on helping figure out what is wrong? Also on copying the modifiers to any mesh (after applying scaling and rotation) does not create a thickness to the mesh at all, stays flat, unlike in the video it immediately adds volume to the mesh, please help.
my waterfall goes upwards and not down, i followed every step yet when i get to the adding the new uv to the new surface my water fall is going up stream. how do i change it to follow the flow downstream?
This might be a simple solution but I am lost. I copied the object to another blend file with the same render settings/modifiers/HDRIs ect but can't seem to get this to work. Viewport and render shows it as white with noise texture. Can someone help me out?
Hello, I just saw your video and acquired the shader, but I really don't understand well how to use it in my own scene, when I go to APPEND what would I have to select? There is a lot in the file, thank you very much and I hope you can help me!
You really only have to append the actual objects so that you can link modifiers and the material nodes. They’re easy to locate as they’re in their respective folders
@@TheCGEssentials like in blender. I have a scene already built and I’d like to add a waterfall into it. Is there a way to export the waterfall from this project and import it to my other project and have the animation still working ?
Hello, I downloaded your shader but there seems to be a problem. When I append it to my scene, it's black. I tried to search for your instagram, discord, twitter, email, etc. so I could contact you but I can't find it anywhere.
Good video and two shaders I could use, but I don't use Eevee except for basic shading while I'm modeling just because it's faster. But I'm not to wild about it to be honest. Cycles is slower but more accurate and I don't have to use all of the Eevee tricks to mimic Cycles. So, I haven't bought the two shaders you reviewed, but I could definitely use both in my nature scenes. So the question is -- and perhaps this is best addressed to the author, but you likely have a much larger following to get the message out. Does this work in Cycles and if not is there a hack that can be used to let it work in cycles. It would solve many issues especially if I also use them in creating rushing streams or just the white water around boulders in fast running streams and rivers. These two shaders seem to have more realistic effects for water turbulence than I can get in mantaflow or texturing hacks in Cycles. My guess is that it is Eevee only for some reason or the author would have made the for Cycles as well.
@@alexmehler6765 Has anyone actually tried porting it over to cycles. Since I don't do animations, I guess I could use EEVE to get the look and angle I want and make an image and include it in my cycles project. I think Ian Hurbert's method is probably easier to get into cycles.
