Amazing Yamaguchi Wolverine Kaiyodo Revoltech Marvel 

To clarify the cigar situation; Some time ago, then-editor-in-chief Joe Quesada (mostly known as the guy who undid Spider-mans marriage via a deal with Mephisto) 's grandfather died of lung cancer and demanded that no one is allowed to smoke anymore, so the lack of a cigar is entirely Marvel's fault (This was BEFORE merging with Disney just FYI) Also, Yamaguchi Katuhisa, the main sculptor for the Amazing Yamaguchi line, recently released a tutorial on how to make your own cigar on his twitter. Good ol' japan.

What do Oxygen, Water, and this wolverine figure have in common? I need them all to survive

I like to see this as Marvel vs Capcom 3 Wolverine. You can’t tell me that he wasn’t based on his MvC appearance.

I hope we get a lot more from these lines, I love these figures, they look so much like the pre-Infinite MvC designs when posed like the sprites, minus Venom, though he looks awesome still

I think it looks GREAT. Thanks for the review ! I can't wait to get mine in the mail. Plus, I recently found the 2-pack Dark Phoenix and Cyclops. I carefully chose a perfect Phoenix and almost left without it, forgetting I'm on an X-men streak with Wolvie and Magneto coming along. Glad Amiami reminded of paying for the figure so I could buy that marvelous Phoenix to go with it.

Love the home made cigar! The trigger hands are so he can hold accessories from the Deadpool figure. DP had the same trigger hands for his swords and guns. Not that Wolverine needs them though.

This Revoltech Wolverine is both an artist's and collector's dream. The dynamic looks simply can not be achieved with any other [Wolverine] figure on the market.

Open Spider-Gwen, she's an awesome figure! She's easy to pose too. Much easier than any other Revoltech I've had.

i actually dont have much trouble posing these at all, but that's just me lol I also feel like each new release theyre getting easier to pose as well and improving alot. Definitely getting magneto in hopes it might replace my old toy bix ML one, not sure about Cap though. This is definitely my favorite wolverine figure to date now, and right behind it is the new ML brown suit wolverine, i think the new tiger stripe one coming soon may replace it though.

This old wolverine and magneto designs are the best , i hope they relese every character from children of the atom , specialy omega red damn i love that dood ** i want to put them in s shelf with some capcom figures

You know what, forget the gaps. To me, this is the quintessential 1/12 scale wolverine in terms of the overall appearance/aesthetic, the faces, and the claws. The only other competition to me is Mezco. I like Hasbro, but honestly when it comes to comic stuff in the 1:12 scale Mezco is impressing me more just by appearance alone/

Spider Gwen is an amazing figure, the only problem for me is I think the unmasked face is off scale. Also, the developer of the revoltech line, yamaguchi katuhisa has post a tweet that teach people how to use a paper to make the missing cigar. He is a really passionated toy maker.

My shoulder pads don't swivel. I thought they did slightly but it was actually the peg twisting until it snapped off.

If you liked this you will likely like the Gwen. I got into this line thanks to The Fwoosh and by far of the 2 I have so far this and the Gwen, the Gwen won me over. For pointers on the shoulder joint splitting, just remove the plug peg, place it back and work the joint till it swivels freely. That will completely alleviate any issues with joints splitting. I freaked when it first happened though. Also Mr. Yamaguchi's twitter had him using Deadpool's swords on those "trigger" hands.

This wolverine is amazing and the magneto too if you compare to the spiderman, deadpool and venom.

Mine will be here tomorrow and i cant wait. The only one in this line i havent picked up yet is Spiderman and thatbwill likely change soon. Magneto is on preorder at BBTS.

i JUST order this and the spider-gwen figurine! i'll be using them for reference when drawing :) i've been looking for poseable action figures for a few days now and i'm so glad i stumbled upon these. the amazing yamaguchi-figures are so dynamic and i just love the flow to them - and they're very inexpensive as well! can't wait for them to arrive (i guess that's the only downside, since i had to order them from japan and they won't show up until early to mid january :P) :) oh, and great review btw :P

I don't get the visual they were looking for with the slash effect. Looks kinda wonki to me (and by kinda I mean very frikin).

Dude I can't believe I didn't get this and now I have to pay 75 If I want it. I wsd going to wait for Mezco to release a tiger stripe version but that was their NYCC version and I guess I could of preordered that but was unaware at the time. I might need to look into it more though great video Robo!

The one thing I love about these Revoltech figures is that they're clearly tapping into that Capcom aesthetic. Would you ever consider getting another Venom, since it seems like the one you reviewed had QC issues?

Damn you, Robo! I was perfectly happy with my ML Wolverines but you had to come and make me buy this one and now I'm considering going back and getting Deadpool... and Magneto is pretty much a must now. My wallet hates you so much right now :P

Great review. Usually the line "it's not for everybody" is nothing more than an excuse to justify mediocre quality...but here it applies 100%: people that don't like it aren't keen on carefully posing their figures in ways that represents comics like few lines can. I said many times SHF is my favorite line because they strike a balance between articulation & sculpt/vanilla poses...but if I want something that SCREAMS personality & captures the essence of fun, Amazing Yamaguchi is probably second to none when they hit it out of the park. IMO Spider-man and Deadpool were kinda flawed and good respectively, but Venom is insanely charismatic (though the QC is questionable), Gwen was pretty good and Wolverine is just fantastic. I think they were going for a Marvel vs Capcom 90's vibe. It does have flaws that should be fixed in future releases (but probably won't): 1. The side-things on the torso shouldn't be that fragmented from the rest of the body. Venom did it better. 2. There's no good reason for the elbows being that rough and incomplete 3. So Funko POP gets Lobo a cigar, but Disney stops an import company from including one? With my budget and Mezco and random SHF, TDK MAFEX figures and Legends, I canceled this. I might get the eventual KO. But I'm just not in the mood to spend a long time posing him and having the figure fall apart on me for the moment. But he does look better than Spider-Man and Venom.

fwoosh trust me open the spidergwen. i can 150% promise you it won't be a venom repeat. as i stated i got it because i like the character but don't like revoltch and it actually made me like the company. you can actually get her in all the poses you could want for a spider character. i mean in my opinion only thing i don't like is the gwen stacy head but thats ok i just don't use it. please open it and tell us what you think of yours

Sort of related - did you ever make any progress on making a civilian Wolvie out of ML Old Man Logan? I've been trying to find a good head match and I'm still not settled on something for mine.

These just aren't for me. I pretty much hate the Venom I bought. Good review, though.

He looks cool, but the articulation is overkill for me. The heads look just a little small as well. He is a cool figure though, articulation junkies will love it. I decided on the Mezco version.
