Hey Justin, a quick question if you have the time. Just to make sure I understood correctly. I opened Amazon affiliate accounts for different countries, I was automatically assigned new tracking IDs for each store and I connected them all to my main Amazon affiliate account in One Link, which is my US account. Do I need to go and generate new affiliate links for all of the products I am promoting, or will old links now automatically work to capture international traffic and credit me for sales? Thanks

I'm in Canada and I remember that years ago I thought I should sign up for affiliate programs in other countries. But I discovered that you have to get three purchases through that program and something like three months, or they won't let you into the program. I couldn't do it when I tried it in Australia. So I'm still only with Canada and the U.S. Have you found that you had to do that for every country?

I think you mean the Amazon influencer program. You have to apply and you don't get in until you have a large enough following 😏 Then you get your own affiliate shop on Amazon.

Justin: I've asked this question to a few tutorial video producers about monetization and affiliate program information and so far nobody has been able to answer it. I wrote and self published a book series on Amazon, I am the author and the owner of the rights to the content in the books. Can I pin links in my RU-vid videos to take my viewers to the pages to buy my books? Or is that a breach of terms and services agreement? I have read the terms and services agreement a couple times and cannot find any information noting that it is either allowed or will potentially be a strike on my channel. I would rather know this information for fact before I pin the links in the description boxes to avoid the chance of a negative outcome.

Hi Justin, do you have any info on applying for the Amazon affiliate program in regards to the tax section, they are asking for either an ABN if your a registered business that’s fine but if you don’t they require a statement by supplier form. Just wanted to know if you have come across this before? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Love your channel, thank you 😊

I’ve never filled in a statement by supplier form.. but if you’re in Aus, it’s free and pretty quick to register for an ABN. Just note though that any income here is treated as regular income so you’ll need to declare it on your tax return

If you want to earn commissions from USA then yes, you'll want to register for that affiliate program too. You can use TransferWise to get $ back into your AUD bank account with minimal fees

There's a lot of things they'll close your account for that they don't cover in terms of service unfortunately. Like for example if you link on a social media platform with less than 500 followers/subscribers. You can't ask people to purchase and you MUST have a line that says "as an amazon affiliate, I earn on qualifying purchases". It has to say exactly that or you could get booted. Not having anything will get you booted too. I had a nice hour long phone call with Amazon support to go through everything I was "doing wrong" when my account was closed down the first time.

When I log off my amazon page I try to open the link and the page goes to sign in.I am worried about it . How can I fix this ? Hey! You'll need to make sure you are making the right link. You can make it in your Amazon affiliate program dashboard and create the link. It sounds like you are just copying the link to Amazon that connects to your account.

A redirect link is awesome because if you end up changing the Amazon link then you only have to change it on the redirect link (so in one location) instead of on every video that you have used that link on 👍 hope that makes sense!

Genius links sounds interesting, I checked it out and I don't like how they charge per click after your first 2000. If someone were to maliciously click your links 1000s of times knowing that it would be a huge head ache. If they didn't do that I think I would sign up ASAP. I do like how you can change all your links by changing one though. Torn....

May I throw in here, off-topic, an idea for a new cool video? : The Mavis app seems to perform much better than Filmic Pro and similar others, like the moment app.... I would love to see a video where you were to compare these 2 apps. The Filmic pro with its Jitter issues on playback, same as Moments app, is apparently completely nonexistent with that MAVIS app...That filmic pro jitter coming from recompressing clips,... which apparently is an unfixable jitter, even in post unfixable, when in playback, will show up once you watch very carefully, and compare footage from your iPhone's own video software, next to filmic pro's clip, of the same scene. Once you spot that flaw, you will always keep on detecting it for the rest of your life. It really will stick with you. Mavis seems to leave the original iPhone clips with its original apple iPhone video compression intact in the background, and shows us a live view of a processed preview only,....so only the live preview is processed through the app's compression and it's other options. The amazing thing seems to be, that Mavis is the only app out there, which is not producing any jitter whatsoever. The moment app, for example, has also jitter due to their post-processing in-app compression of the iPhone clips. I would be curious about what your experience would become comparing that mavis app to others, and see what footage you would be able to produce, when specifically being concerned about that unfixable jitter issue.
