Hi. Love your videos. The t9 gearbox for 1.8 andre 2.0l is hard to get here in Norway. But can i get a v6 gearbox to fit with your adapterplate by changing the input shaft?
Hi, Is there a way to upgrade an 1971 144 model, M40 Gearbox, with a three passengers front seat setup? I suspect That the T9 shifter is way backwards. Maybe there is an interchangeable shifter plate similar to the 'short' vs. 'long' M41? Thanks!
Hi, if I wanted to keep the Volvo pressure plate (match with original flywheel) and use a Ford clutch 200mm. Wich release bearing should I use? Volvo 43mm (originaly use on Borg & Beck) or can I use original from Ford?
Hello again Russ, lovely to hear from you! The shifter hole will have to move back about 50mm, and the back of the turret may have to be cut out and extended, in order to fit/remove the Type9 without removing the engine.
...however the gearing is about the same in top gear, so there's not a huge advantage for a roadgoing P18, and probably not worth the expense/effort perhaps.
Amazon Cars Thanks Emma(Im presuming its Emma!). Just reviewing all these great videos. Great font of knowledge👍!! Ive also a hankering to fit a ATB as someone has one cheap. Feel confident doing it until I saw Rob back and forth on the shimming. I would be doing this with the car on axle stands. Doesn’t look fun for my back!!!
@@122amazonls5 No, there's no reason to fit it since the M40 is such a good 4 speed box - unless the engine fitted is outputting more than 240bhp of course: that's the most power we've put through the 'box, with Gunnar Axelsson's 16v B20 motor...
