Im new to your channel! I want to be an elementary school teacher, but I dont want to be constantly stressed out or quit. How stressful would you say teaching elementary school is? Is this a career for someone with a high stress tolerance only?
Welcome to the fam! Love that you are considering being an educator! I get stressed out very easily and am a very emotional person, but it has not stopped me from following my dream. YES it is stressful, but I feel that it is worth it to me. There are so many rewarding aspects of teaching (and at the elementary level) that it is so worth it. Also a lot of factors go into that... your school setting, population, coworkers, admin, etc. Follow your heart, that is my best advice!
@@TheChroniclesofTeacherTay Thank you! I see that you are a music teacher! I was also trying to decide between being a general teacher or a music teacher. Im a singer and my voice coach (who used to teach middle and high school) told me that teaching would be too hard on my voice over time. Do you teach at a public or private school? I considered private or charter for smaller classes sizes.
matoaka21 I teach at a public elementary school! Yes- it can be exhausting for the voice. There are definitely ways to combat it but it can be a lot!! It definitely takes some stamina, but it’s a great job :)
