Why would any of yall want Amazon to take over the food delivery business? Doordash and Uber sucks, but Amazon is already too big and ruined so many things.
When I was doing gig work I was making my most money doing Amazon flex 2 blocks a day then grinding DoorDash at night. I was bringing in like $300 a day easy on some days here in my area.
Amazon was in the restaurant delivery business at ended it around 2019. They had blocks and they'd send you at a certain location during your block to receive restaurant orders, and then you'd return to that location to get another restaurant order.
I am making almost nothing on DD and UE now. Part of that is the summer slowdown, but the main part is DD changing there platform to the employee without any benefits model that seems to be embraced by all the new drivers. Saturday I did not see an offer from DD from 5 pm to almost 7 pm. That tells me that DD is either dying, or drivers are taking any offer they get to keep their AR above 90% or whatever b.s. it is. Either way, the good ole days are long gone and Spark is the only show in town for me now.
It seemed to always rain in June at least a little in Washington when I lived in and near Olympia from 1984-2022 lol. I think it’s great that Amazon is taking over some of that food order market share. My Uber Eats after over 6 years kinda did the same thing to me. I have only dashed once lately, $27 in one hour in ABQ but of course it was grey afterwards. It looks like where we both use to live is 100 today and in Santa Fe where I am doing my second flex shift of the day is sunny and 83.
A smart driver on Reddit said they walked into a Walmart and the employees were encouraging customers to sign up for Walmart Plus for Free Delivery and encouraging NO TIPPING! The employee did not realize that they were talking to a spark driver
Hi Aaron. Can you tell me why none of these gig-tubers ever talked about Tony Xu selling ALL of his shares in Doordash two weeks ago? Seems like that would be important given what's happening. Thanks.
The important thing to remember. Amazon is simply waiting to pounce, when they do- game over!! For those who don’t know this already… go tell ‘retail’ that Amazon is coming, but don’t worry about it🤔😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazon has done a lot of damage in this country. Killed malls, killed brick and morter stores, and also a major negative effect on commercial real estate where these places used to be. A lot of empty real estate sitting not generating income because of Amazon.
Steve makes clickbait videos about Doordash failing, but then defends them and says they're not going to fail in rooundtable videos. He's a grifter. Always has been.
Competition from business is always a good thing. All you need is half a brain to realize Amazon's entry will affect DD. Think about it, they have basically crushed every competitor they've gone against. Walmart is still standing strong, but they have the benefit of physical stores. DD has nothing.
Just keep getting your money's worth out of bad publicity pointed in DD's direction. They should've paid you what you're owed based on both principle and as a smart decision not to have you carrying this narrative on for years at a time.
What blows my mind is you didn't call a lawyer to try to get your money back or go to the media so this ended up on TV😅😅 why would you just lay down and let them take your money like that man it doesn't make any sense. F*** doordash
