Just from listening to the audio test that you did I believe that the Google nest hub Max sounded better . If you watch the video back the echo has muddier more muffled sound coming out of it as the Google has more crisp high's and deeper lows . Otherwise great job with the video
Only thing I disagree with was the audio conclusion. The Google sounded much better in every video I've watched, over different devices I've watched it on. Other than that, great vid!
I have a couple of Amazon devices and more Google devices. I use the Google devices as speakers, controlling lighting, for watching RU-vid, timers and reference questions (I'm a former librarian). Oh. And controlling Nest thermostat. I chose Google because I trust Google WAY more than Amazon. Not entirely sure I trust Google, but Amazon ...
Thanks for sharing that experience. Over here, we tend to like Alexa for all our smart home devices. But when it comes to the smartest one for organizing our digital lives, we due tend to lean towards Google for that.
I might point out that when it comes to timers Alexa is way easier to handle timers from any device. I use timers all day. The fact Alexa will pop up a notification on my phone when a timer ends or I can turn them off and change them from any other Alexa device or app I have registered. They also won’t turn off a timer without my say so.
Amazon Alexa is the best for home automation, it has the most skills,. Also, Google can't add a device to more than 1 room or group; example: kitchen and family room are adjacent to each other and I want the lights in both room to turn off if I say all, as well as independently turning off either room. Alexa is inexpensive so I bought 8 to equip every room with Amazon Alexa for voice control so that I can just ask 'turn off the lights' and the echo in that room knows to turn off those lights and not other lights in the house.
can you cast anything that's castable? like not just youtube and netflix but maybe plex or some random video on the internet that has a casting option?
@@magerbo I don't have any problems with it. All you have to do is download it on your phone, verify your phone number, let it see your contacts and those who have Duo. You can send invites to those who don't have it with a link for them to download it if they want to.
I have had a Lenovo Smart Display for several years, and worked great for awhile, now not so good-get echos, doesn't call, and messing up with commands. I recently purchased an Amazon Echo Show 10 to replace, but am having trouble setting up video calling. I like that it does Skype and Zoom! Not sure why I can't connect, but am considering if returning, for Google Next 10, but not sure. I don't like the Google Meet change, Duo worked great but not now as meet. Any suggestions?
I could not continue to watch this video because you had my Alexa and my Google chiming in every time you did a comparison but thanks for the video anyway maybe next time leave out their names
💯 agree with you, I recently purchased both of them , not exact model I have show 8 and Google nest hub 2nd gen. Show 8 is better in every way and in Amazon device like show 8 I can type as well not in Google
I believe the echo 10 is much better. i have both of them you can do much more online with echo show 10 and you can reply or comment on the echo and can't on the max
Most of our team would agree that the Echo Show 10 has a slight edge. The swivel makes it a cut above. The conversational ability of Alexa definitely makes it easy to interact with.
Ok final comment, I use google nest hub max for video calling without any problems. You really just need so more experience with google as obviously you’ve not learned enough and don’t really know how to operate it, so begs the question, why are you making videos on things you know nothing about?
We're always interested in feedback and we did ask specifically if anyone has run into a similar issue in Canada. It's great that you're not running into any issues with your Canadian account as not all Google services operate identically even across the US border. Some servcies like Google Voice and Google Fi aren't even available here for example. You seem knowledgable so what did we miss?
