I show you 2 ways to factory reset (soft reset & hard reset) the 2021 Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet. Note that when you preform a factory reset you will lose all your data as if you just bought it brand new and took it out of the box. So if you have important stuff on there make sure to back up first then proceed with factory reset. Hope this helps.

Older generation Fire 10 for hard reset use the left volume button and power button at the same time then follow the same procedure as the video.

omg thanks for this. lots of other videos go over the older fire tablets while mine is the latest version. Currently an Employee of Amazon and was gifted one of our demo tablets and was stuck in demo mode so this helped me reset it so I can use it for myself

Thank you! Your hard reset instructions with the buttons worked like a dream on my 2019 Kindle HD 10 that went into reboot looping. I could not believe how easy after I have been pressing the power for 40 seconds with no success for a night and a day. I think the root cause was the sd card became corrupt. It asked me to reformat it during the new set up process. You’re the man! Much appreciation. 😊👏🏻🧠💡

There were a few differences between your device and mine. the id. was the same, but yours had a green edge where mine was black. The power button was the left button and volume down was next and then volume up. There was no reset in the settings, but got it to reset, so thanks for the help.

Mine lists a looooot more on the process. Once I select yes, it lists process then denied until it fills the screen. Then gives me options again. I selected reboot and it just did the same thing. It’s stuck on the Amazon logo

One thing you forgot to mention: you can ONLY do a soft reset at 30% or more charge, I tried doing it and it said I need 30%, but dw it still works !!

My HD10 will not let me go to Facebook, when it wants me to use Facebook to sign in to allow Words With Friends start. When I then go to email for the same purpose, it does not recognize the password and returns to the home screen. Do you think doing a factory reset may help? This is a reconditioned HD10.

I saw your video.. And My tablet still on the reboot screen . My cousin accidentally put water on it and her mom shut down the tablet then we already follow the steps and we wait for a couple of days To try your ways but it keeps on doing the same thing where it keeps on the reboot screen over and over . .. what should we do about this?
