I bought these blinds on Amazon. The instructions were not very helpful and I couldn't find a tutorial on how to install them, so I decided to make one myself. I hope you find it helpful!
Wow!! Thank you, Casey for this video!! SO, SO helpful!! I cracked up when you said that the included written instructions looked like the writer’s first language is not English! I thought the same thing! 🤣 I was totally overwhelmed and confused until I found your video!! Your explanations and demonstrations were perfect. Thanks😊
This is an excellent video that shows exactly how to install these blinds. Too bad there isn't any ISO standards for these products. Mounting them shouldn't be so complicated. Still Casey does and excellent job and takes the insanity out of the job. Thank you
THANK YOU! I can't imagine that I could have ever figured out how to install these blinds without your video. The written instructions only served to make me think I was going to have to send them back. This is so clear.
Hey Diana, thank you! I appreciate the feedback. As far as the outside mount goes, I just want to remind you that I am not affiliated with the company in any way, I am a DIYer, and I'll be giving you my best guess. So if you screw the little plastic brackets onto the outside, with he string in line with where you want the edges of blinds to be, it should work fine. Just keep in mind there will probably be a more noticeable gap with an outside mount, allowing more light in compared to an inside mount.
You truly saved us! Thank you! Bought one to test in our bathroom and now we feel confident enough to buy them for the rest of the house. Say goodbye to the 1998 2-inch wood blinds!
THANK YOU! This helped so much - well, we'll see...now I have to go try to do it. But the instructions in the box were not helpful at all - even though mine are a different brand (flamax)...it is exactly the same...Wish me luck and thanks :)
@@caseys932 The actual installation was a bit. The first time was pretty tight, but the slight release made it perfect. One issue that I ran into was the strings were twisted from the factory. I really want to take it apart to straighten the lines. The wife disagrees. Maybe she knows the outcome. Lol
Amazing tutorial Casey! Given the an amount of work these require, would you recommend buying these or paying more for a brand that is easier to install? I haven't tried any brand of top down bottom up blinds yet so I don't know if the others are actually easier to install but some of the reviews imply that that's the case. And a related question - aside from the difficulty of installation, does the quality of the blind itself feel adequate to you now that you have used them for a while? Do you have any sense as to how the quality of the materials maintains in comparison to some of the other brands on Amazon?
Thank for doing this. I bought these blinds and am going to try to install tomorrow. It helped me picture what to do, so maybe I'll be able to get it done.
I ordered, but haven’t yet received, these shades. Only question I have is: are the strings already attached to, and knotted on, one of the sets of clips, either top or bottom? Or, will I have to tie all 4 clips.
Sorry this took me while, I got locked out of my account. I imagine you've received your blinds by now, but just in case I'll answer your question: Yes, one side will already be tied in, assuming yours arrive the same way mine did.
