I bought the SER6 about a month ago for the same $479 price and I gotta say I am over the moon with this little PC. I knew it wouldn't be a gaming powerhouse, just wanted it to be able to play some old games like Fallout 4. When I got it I decided to see just how far I could push it, and it surprised me by running Destiny 2 at default settings without hesitation. I didn't run it for very long because I didn't want to take a chance on overheating but for about 20 minutes it never stuttered. I can wholeheartedly recommend the SER6, get it while the price is good.

100% I am about maybe four months ago got the “ser 6 max” honestly not sure if there’s a difference between the 6 and the 6 Max. but anyway, I too am very pleased. My main concern was getting something that would be powerfull enough to play PlayStation 3 and even like Nintendo switch. And I’m pleased to say they play them all very well and you could definitely play them for a while.

Stick with Beelink brand or mini pc with extra bottom cooler for DDR and NVME drive.

I'm living in Japan right now and I wish the Yen wasn't so low because that ramps the price up by $200 or so here... 😭😭😭😭

Those are a bit too expensive for me. Is it possible to find a mini pc that’s $100 or less that can run super model 3 properly? I don’t need anything fancy, just one fast enough to handle maybe Batocera & Model 3 from that.

Does the proprietary charger weigh down every pro? As opposed to just hopping on the 6900hx v2??? Please help I need to buy in 30 mins lol

What's the minimum processor you would recommend for up to PS3/XBox 360/WiiU?
@ScottBeck79

If my memory serves me correct, his review of the Beelink Ser7 showed it was EXTREMELY capable of pretty much everything, including AAA PC. Speaking for myself only, if I was worried about something not running for PS3, XBOX 360, WiiU/Switch, ect, I'd be running the games on modded OG Hardware. My guess is that model would be able to handle 80% of what you throw at it, up to and including current AAA PC games. That being said -- I don't know that any of these can run something like the HyperArcadeSystem set up and especially the Kris Coolmod set up.

For those beelink pc's you actually save more in the end with the 18% off than the one with 5% off... Also, it's worth noting that amazon gives you a $100 store credit toward any item if you apply and get approved for their credit card.

As a Beelink owner, it's not worth it in the long run to own this brand. Try and find support on whatever model two years later and there's no more link on the website. Further, at first the system seems to work well, but over time because of windows bloat, they become extremely slow.

Great Information. I am glad to see the mini pc (SER 5) I bought was still a little cheaper at Christmas then now. Makes me feel better because i havent done a lot with it yet. I am still trying to build out the emulators and games I want on it.

@@RetroGamingGuy That is why I appreciate your videos. I bought one of the mini pcs you reviewed last Christmas. Your demos showed me it would play all the emulators that I want. I have also been playing around with batocera and some of the retro builds you have shown. You have shown and explained the differences between great and terrible builds. This has led me to striping some of the 4+TB builds down and putting them on usb sticks.. That way if we want to play SNES or Classic Arcade games we aren't overwhelmed with 80,000+ games. I really want to build out a sinden light gun and give that a try . Again, I really appreciate your in depth videos.

So these lil Intel based pc's are actually a lot more useful than you'd think.. They make great lil plex/emby servers with hardware transcoding enabled. . Able to handle multiple 4K transcodes.

Do you use any of these mini pc as your main computer? If so, did you ever have any of them die on you? For a long time now, I wanted to buy one of the Beelinks, but there are always reviews saying that they die after after a few months and there was no response when the people call the company.

I actually have beelink mini PCs at my office building. We have 3 of them in place as office PCs and they have been running steady for 2.5 years no issues. Granted there's no gaming being done or anything overly demanding but they work great. Those are lower end ones too so I have to think the beelinks hold up well. You never know what people are doing with their PCs before they die. I have mini PCs in my arcade cabinets and I have no issues with them. No beelinks but much lower end options. Been all good there as well.

It's too bad we don't see mini PCs that are "Made in the USA" getting sold for these prices, let alone reviews of them.

@@RetroGamingGuy It crossed my mind when went back to watch your review of Beelink 7 again and I saw "Made in China". I'm not opposed to these PCs by any means -- great deals & this brand seems to be a quality product. That goes for anything you've reviewed here; you cover the good, bad, ugly on every single product video -- transparency is important in my eyes. If I had one request to ask of you, it would be that you cover the HyperArcadeSystem drives. It's comparable to the Kris Coolmod -- from my understanding, it's more refined, far less expensive & the claim from the HAS owner (Chris) was that "KCM" has gotten much of his set up from them, and now over charging. Something was also mentioned about "cracked" PC games but I'm not exactly sure what that meant in the context it was said. I don't know if this is accurate or not, but if you want to go read the comments on the "DrewTalks" video covering HAS, you'll see what I'm talking about. The one thing I liked about HAS is that he was active in the comments and answered almost every single question or comment there was and I've only seen that one other time on your channel with a plug n play that keeps improving -- can't recall off the top of my head but that says a lot about them as well -- I'm sure you know which one I am talking about. YT doesn't allow links anymore, so if you go to DrewTalks channel just type in "hyperarcadesystem" -- his review of that and the KCM set up will be the only two that show up. I've been watching your channel since 2020 and you've become the top reviewer as far as I'm concerned. Keep up the great work sir!
