Dan, I can't thank you enough for all your videos. I watched and learned from them through each and every step of my Amazon interview process. I got the offer yesterday for a senior level position at AWS!! I loved your advice about preparing failure stories - that really helped. Another great advice is to role play. It may seem obvious but very easy to forget while recollecting and writing down great stories. One request I'd have for you is to get tips on salary negotiation (particularly with Amazon given their unique comp structure). Please keep up the great work. You are making a real difference.
I want to callout the difference between questions 1) and 5). Failure vs. mistake are distinct and I am separating them on the size of impact (personal / business). Dan - do you have any opinion about this assumption ?
A big thanks for your pretty channel and advices, Yesterday the recruiter sent me an email informing me that I had raised the bar and delivered me an offer letter
Thanks Dan for your amazing videos. I guess we can simply say that I never get into such failure situation in my career, if we really don't have any failures to mention. Can you elaborate that part also?
Your channel is priceless! so useful! Can my failure story be outside my current role? for example, I was briefly a partner in an e-sports startup, but the startup failed because of my lack of practical knowledge in business development. the job role I am interviewing is creative directing.
Should there be any failure question where we my answer could be a "no", I mean genuinely speaking what if I didn't ever fail in delivery or at a project level?
Don’t be too scripted and everyone and every company fails every day, amazon is not an exception...just be yourself and don’t change yourself to nail the interview
