hey first of all I really enjoy your videos and I like your humor. but there are a few items that can be pretty dangerous for budgies, for example that plastic bird with the weight below it. budgies might want to feed the toy, but since it's just a toy it can't eat the food. so the budgie will swallow it, feed it again, swallows it again, etc. this can become very dangerous. it's the same with mirrors. I'm not trying to be mean or anything. In germany it's actually illegal to give plastic birds or mirrors to budgies.
@@Bird-Nuggets yes I saw that. maybe you could make a video about lonely budgies since there are still a lot of people that keep their budgies alone. budgies are very social animals and they get very depressed if they are alone. in my country it is actually illegal to keep budgies alone, that's why someone I know had to give her budgie away because otherwise there would have been prosecution because of animal cruelty. maybe you could make a video about it, since you also have videos like that chirping video for lonely budgies, which gives the impression that it's okay to keep them alone as long as they have chirping sounds and plastic toys. (which btw does not make it okay)
I'm going to suggest that you do not recommend number 3, because it will injure your budgie's leg. I had one and I put millet spray in it, two of my birds cut their feet and their legs got stuck in the narrow part, and it has sharp edges on the slots, so DO NOT BUY IT and this is for everyone, including the RU-vidr doing this video. Throw it away if you have one. They are dangerous. I even cut my finger trying to free my parakeet's legs. So, NO...
The playground has been a woodwork saver. Well worth every penny. We have a female budgie who is quite the chewer, and she loves chewing on it. She went for the sides of the base first, but also chews the pedestal and perches. It 's been nice to know the wood in this item is safe for birds. Plus all four of my budgies like hanging out on the playground. Thanks for recommending it!

You can use a plastic sheet or a small trash bag and put it under the budgie's cage where they eat their food. When you have to clean the cage you can just pick up the trash bag/ plastic sheet and be done! easy clean-up. This works very well and I personally use it. Instead of using baking paper just use a plastic sheet or trash bag!
Thanks so much for taking the time to share the items your birds enjoy. It is very helpful. I have been searching for a product I'm not sure what it's called but you can use them to attach natural branches to the bird cage the come in different sizes. It's like a end cap or something I'm sure it's made from hard plastic.
Yes, that's how you'll find them, look for them in the canary department, because plastic things are more common with these birds. Just make sure you've measured the diameter of your branch beforehand. Slimming down the edge in order to fit it in the cage is a nightmare, I swear.
Omg I had a blue and a green parakeet when I was younger! They were my best friends but then my mom made me give them away. This video brings back so many memories on what it’s like to own one!
The vision cage is the best Cage ever! I have three birds now and that’s the first cage I got & it’s the only cage I have now!! The vision cage is definitely my favorite!!
The millet holder is bad because it should only be used as a treat when taming or training or in a foraging toy. That isn't a foraging toy because they don't have to work that hard to get the millet. The bird toy is also bad because like you said they can get attached to it. It can cause problems with your bird and they might get more aggressive. If they're bored, get them shredding and foraging toys, or make some yourself! That keeps them busy for hours. Or you could get them another friend, but isn't nesessary. I really like the bath tho. I haven't tried it yet, but really want to. I would try it with the flower because birds really like to go under it.
Hello I was given a budgie from my son and I when to a pet shop and ask the manager that I want a male budgie he gave me a male budgie so I was so happy until my friend came to visit me and said that the budgie that I got it a boy and the other bird is a gril I was so confused now I don't know what I got plz help me out
@@sugargonzalez5482 Do research on your birds. The petstores know absolutely nothing about their birds. As a pet owner it is YOUR job to research a pet before you get one, you clearly did not.
@@hrisi2919 Been a minute so you might've found an answer already, but the most I've ever kept in that size Vision cage is 4, but they were only in there for eating and sleeping and had free range of the room during the day.
Sadly I think amazon is not available in my country but I do buy it from somewhere else. One time, I bought seeds, swing and 3 balls. They did like it until they destroyed it (My parrot destroyed her swing but my budgies didn’t and it is still a good swing)❤️❤️❤️

Hi! I am a teenager who wants to own a parakeet. I’m excited, but i know it takes a lot of responsibility and money to own one. I watch your videos so i can learn a bit more about parakeets and birds in general. Thanks for uploading this!
I had parakeets and I personally wouldn't recommend them if you are sensitive to loud noises, they are VERY loud and they scream at each other. If you want a small bird that doesn't need much attention but is quiet, I recommend finch, zebras are the best. If you want a quieter bird that you can hold and pet all day, get a green cheek conure. Do not get a sun conure, they are a different breed. Sun conures are bigger, louder, and more bitey. I'm getting a green cheek soon from an amazing local breeder, I've wanted one for years. They can live alone or in pairs. If they weren't raised with other birds, they might not get along though. If you want a friendly one, find a breeder that hand raises them. Also, cookware can kill them. Teflon pans and other non-stick pans release toxic fumes to birds, it is also toxic to humans. You will have to replace every single pot and pan in your kitchen if it is nonstick. Castiron, ceramic, and stainless steel are safe. You need a HEPA air filter too. Even just cooking with a teflon pan 1 time could kill your bird no matter how many windows are open or how many filters you have, they don't get rid of the fumes.
I have a different millet spray holder that has a small perch on it for my Zazu to step on and eat from it. It looks like the green one on the thumbnail of the video but it’s blue. It’s also safer than the sharp plastic one recommended in the video. My budgie is also a clean eater so seeds don’t fly out when he’s eating with the feeder’s lid on but I am still gonna look into getting him a seed catcher for his cage.

Going to buy stuff for my 2 birds and 3 Guinea pigs for Christmas it’s August so it sould give me enough time to make money for the stuff to get them but thanks for telling me the stuff birds like
Here in my country, it's pretty hard to get bird toys. I'm making my own toys to provide more entertainment for them so instead of my Birds getting bored. I live in Pakistans sometimes and sometimes USA (I'm American-Pakistani) So when I go to USA, I'll bring lots of toys for my birds!
I got a vision cage just because of you. Its really good the only thing is that bc the food is down my budgie is having a hard time climbing to go there to eat.
You can try placing a ladder or a flexible rope so they have a easier time climbing up and down. The food being down is necessary because that way the seed husks won't fly out as they're eating.
it's not really good for them, just like mirrors. they might try to over-feed the toy, which is not good for the budgie, they can even die from that. just google mirror and budgies, in some european countries it's even illegal because it's not safe for budgies
Thanks can you do a deep cleaning on the cage I have the same one in tall and would like to see the best way of lifting it off the bottom white tray. It’s top heavy and not too sure where to hold it while lifting

@@zebrathebudgie9077 yes exactly, and it’s not very good to keep millet in a bird cage in the beginning, as it’s very fattening, and only should be used for training or bonding, or just a treat.

millet holders are no good, your bird should not be free fed millet, and not to mention they can possibly get their beaks stuck in it. for anyone who doesn’t know, millet is very fatty, and if you give your bird too much of it, they can become overweight, or develop diseases like fatty liver disease (im not very good at explaining, so i recommend you to look it up). millet and seeds should only be used as treats to bond with or to train your bird. birds main diets should consist of mainly pellets and vegetables, also some grains, and seeds, fruits, and other treats that contain a lot of sugar and fats should only be fed in small portions every other day. the other thing is the bird lookalike toy, which could have the same effects as a mirror would (possessiveness, aggression, hormonal behaviors, stress, etc) but he already said that in the video. the bath is a super good idea, playstands are very good for outside time of the cage, and i would recommend trying to find some natural wood ones if you can instead of dowel ones if they’re going to be on it often. the cage is also pretty good, and i’m glad to see that there are tabletop cages that are a good size for small birds! btw the cage setup looks pretty good, but you may need some more toys for your birds! also of your budgies spend a lot of time near the top of the cage you may wanna move that dowel perch down near the bottom(i am 5 months late to this video so you may have already done these things but if you haven’t then please do so!)
