I had actually seen a news story on this. There are some people who get bombarded with multiple packages daily. In that scenario, not sure if it is the same for you but, basically people are hired by sellers to write fake reviews. You can't write a review until you buy that item. So, an order is placed and the seller randomly picks a person and just sends out a cheap item in place of whatever they are trying to get fake reviews on. I think they even said 30% of all reviews on Amazon are fake, but Amazon can't really detect them or do anything about it.
Hi Melissa! I just want to say out of all the "tris" videos I love yours the most and might I add, I just love your dad! Keep on doing what you do..... You're the best!!!!!
Hi again Melissa! I have received a swimsuit, wireless Bluetooth earbuds, and a wireless Bluetooth computer keyboard & mouse combo pack. When I called Amazon they checked my account and there was no record of these items on my account. I was told to keep, trash, or donate since they would have no way of tracking any type of return of the items. I made sure to check my credit cards & checked my credit report to make sure no one got ahold of my info and it was all good. Luckily my teenage daughter fit the XS swimsuit and my teenage son was super excited about the earbuds. Neither have interest in the keyboard set as reviews had a number of complaints that keys were moved from the standard locations causing lots of reviewers to be annoyed. When they started showing up I joked that maybe they were thank you gifts for all the money that I spend on Amazon. 🙃 Side note regarding the C to C, there are some high power rapid chargers that uses a C to connect to it as well as the device being charged. I have an Anker brand wall charger and car charger that I bought off Amazon that are like this. (LOVE them by the way)
Hey! Oh wow you got some neat stuff. I've heard everyone that called were told to just keep it. So I don't feel bad now that I didn't call. Hey I'll take free anytime. Lol. My accounts are all fine too . Score for us. Rob was excited for that stuff.
Yes, I received 8 makeup bags!! I didn't contact them, I felt the same as you. They were bigger then a standard makeup bag, so I made a few first aid kits for family members.
You can never have enough first aid kits. One for each vehicle. One for the bathroom, garage (if you have one), upstairs, downstairs. Good thinking on your part!
Amazon sellers were doing something called direct shipping when their items didn't sell and to avoid paying storage fees, but most states now tax that and it has drastically cut down on the freebies. I have gotten some really nice items over a 2 year period and they came randomly. Enjoy your freebies!
I have heard of this happening an I swear I wish it would happen to me 🤣🤣 but good for you!! And you did them a favor by reviewing the items so win win 😊
@@TheCheapChick that's so cool girl and I know u probably hears this all the time but I love your videos ☺️ your such a sweet person I'm so glad your channel is growing it's my dream to do videos but I'm too shy lol
Hi Melissa, I just came across your video and I really like that you are just s normal down to earth person, with a great personality. You can entertain me So, your a keeper. Stay Like you are and you will always thousands or maybe million's of viewers? I will always keep watching. Great work. I love the videos.....
It's crazy from the comments how many people got them. I've already gotten 3 more just waiting to see if I get anymore so I can do another video. Thanks for watching!
You are so very welcome! So happy they gave me one. I've gotten some more packages recently. Waiting to see if I get more so I can have enough for a video.
I was reading an article a couple weeks ago that talked about seeds and jewelry (or small items) being delivered to people’s houses from overseas. Google it and it explains
@@Imthebrownunicorn Ya'll are talking about that seed scam, where they would send either seeds by themselves or send them with inexpensive jewelry with it. It is part of the brushing scam. Where a seller on Amazon will send to verified buyers and than turn around and post reviews as the buyer to boost their products. I don't think she received any seeds because they would of been noticeable in a bag of their own inside the package with other items and would be labeled as well. The US government is warning if you do get them do not plant them. They could be normal seeds or invasive seeds, that would cause weeds to grow that would be near impossible to get rid of. I have heard of stories of people planting them in singular pots just to see what grows and getting tomato plants and such to grow.
We actually got a professional barber clipper. Was really nice. We called amazon to let them know and they said to keep it and gave us money for being honest
Hi @TheCheapChick awesome video, I've heard people getting Amazon packages that they didnt order a couple people I know got packages that they didnt order. But yea they kept the items that came to they door. I wish that happened to me.... 😄 anywho keep up the great work and have a fun, safe and blessed day. I love watching all your videos. #TeamMelissa
Hey! Thanks so much! It's really strange they just showed up. But from the comments seems like it's pretty common and some called and they said just keep it so now I don't feel bad. Have an amazing day!
I received 2 mystery Amazon packages in the same month. I contacted Amazon and the seller. Seller said "sorry it was a mistake". Amazon said "sorry it's not on your order history so we can't help you." Both were from overseas sellers.
@@TheCheapChick lol right! We used the door bell for about a year. Apparently it's some type of scam. They order the stuff but send it to random addresses they have access to, in order to make fake reviews🤷♀️ I'll take the free stuff though, lol.
This is quite common actually. Third Party sellers who do drop shipping through Amazon are usually the reason. When they Amazon has very short inventory for these sellers that is not selling, from time to time they just randomly send it out to customers. Usually it goes to those who have signed up to be a receiving party for these drop shippers first. My DIL has gotten TONS of random things....FREE, including a farberware mixer of all things, but usually little things like dollar store quality toys and things.
I actually received a small lamp shade which my mom loves and a double dog leash. Which is perfect when I babysit my sisters dog since we I have a dog too. My friend received a case of red bull. Everything was from Amazon with our address.
A few months ago I got a $60 microphone with stand and everything that I didn't order. I also got some giant number 2 pencils for children that were for teaching them to hold pencils. We also got a huge tube of caulk. All addressed to me correctly and things I didn't order. Very random!
@@TheCheapChick Exactly! I was able to give my friend the pencils, kept the mic, and gave the apartment complex repairman the caulk! Glad I was able to find uses for everything! And honestly can't wait to see what they send me next 😂
I get them all the time but there are a few groups on facebook where the sellers of certain overstock items will list things for direct ship and all you have to do is fill out the form with your name and address. They do this because it is cheaper for them to send out their products for free then to have them shipped back to China to them or sitting in the Amazon warehouse.
Yes I’ve had random bits sent from Amazon, it’s usually when I order something and will get a random too, I rang Amazon and they said that they give/sell lists out to sellers who then send out to promote their pages/sites and they will send out random stuff, I said that’s ok, I don’t mind that, but they don’t include the sites that sent it, he said that’s something they have no control over I understand companies sending out freebies so they can get reviews etc, but they don’t included their pages or details, so we can’t buy from them or order from them or review the items they sent expecially if we like them, also Amazon do not track these packages either as they are not being sent through Amazon, so they can’t help or give details
I just recently recieved a package ( Chinese writing)..figured I ordered from wish..when I opened it was 4 " golden stress relief pigs" (those squishy things) I know I didn't order not even by mistake...lol
I heard it's called a brushing scam. Like they send reason people stuff then they write their own reviews for it. Crazy and you can't do anything about it. Thanks for watching!
@@TheCheapChick Well I don't shop that often on Amazon, but I did make 2 significant sized purchases there lately and if they're sending packages to Australia as well, I might have a chance 😜
Last year starting after Thanksgiving one of our local radio channel hosts got a package everyday from Amazon that she didnt order. She DID contact Amazon about it and they said just keep the stuff. She got like 30 random things, some of them nice things. So yeah. Manna from Heaven for you. The gel polish is a good brand, lucky girl.....
It's crazy. I heard it's a brushing scam. Sellers send out stuff then write there own reviews. Plus no way to stop it. But hey I like free stuff. Thanks for watching!
One reason why this can happen is when your account has been hacked. The hacker will typically do this with small inexpensive items to see whether you are paying attention to your account. Then they will change the password so that you can't access it, create a new address, and order up some expensive goodies for themselves.
Kim here again! I'd have done the same thing I think.... Those who ordered probably called & had it resent. Amazon didn't want to bother with it all, why should you lol! It's kinda nice when we get a small win from large companies...hahha
Lucky. All I've been getting are letters to join random colleges. So far I've been invited to Randolph College in VA, Lenoir-Rhyne in NC and Western Carolina. I'm 37 with an Associate's Degree. My college days are over.
I love gel nail polish!! I would be super happy to get free gel polish!! The facelift things are what the Asian girls use to change the shape of their face. I believe that you are meant to put makeup over them. Also I have to say that I am so glad that I found your channel Melissa! You have really good deals on things that I buy and who doesn't like a deal! So thank you for doing the hard work,so I don't have to!!🥰✌️
Awwwwww thanks so much! I'm so happy you are enjoying my videos. I love being able to show you guys stuff. So crazy I got so many free packages from Amazon. But hey keep them coming. Lol.
You may have been put in the Amazon reviewers and if you do a review for them you will get more and more and bigger and better stuff keep making wish list too. They sometimes will pull from that too. Have fun and do reviews.
@@TheCheapChick not always. Same thing happaned to my mother in law. She did reviews and got a Insta pot ans a hole pot and pan sets so just do them you never know what you will get next and enjoy it
Hi melissa. OMG!! You got a lot of things from wish. I have not had the time to go on wish to order anything yet. I have been to busy to have time to look on line. Melissa, I love the video, and you are looking good. God Bless you Melissa. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Have a wonderful day, and Have a Happy New Year.let's see what 2021 will give us this year. Take care. ❤❤❤❤❤ Maria.
Hi Melissa great video great haul my sister got stuff from Amazon and we called and they said they had to much of the stuff so they are sending it to people that buy stuff from Amazon .I buy from Amazon but I have not received any thing my mom has gotten stuff to
Hey! Thanks so much! Oh I have not heard that yet but maybe. Very strange all the random stuff people said they got. Some expensive stuff too. Hey they can keep sending whatever they want. Lol.
Have gotten random unknown package from Amazon. Was a gift from a small business I bought a handmade jewellery box from. They sent me the cutest little dolphin necklace. The box had a matching dolphin on top.
Hi!! Hope you had a lovely Christmas!!! I get random stuff sent too from amazon!! Ive had all sorts like a projector and a electronic pill reminder lol and other random bits I did contact amazon and they said to keep it xxxxx
Hey! I did and I hope you did too. From all these comments I'm glad to know I'm not the only one getting them. Alot of people got some really nice stuff. They can feel free to keep sending them. Lol.
@@TheCheapChick Awww glad you had a good time i did too thanks! I actually like getting some of the things I got a advent calendar it was little sacks that you have to fill i knew a girl from work wanted one for her son so I gave it to her! Oh also heads up that gel nail polish isn't good at all I ordered some ages ago and had to send it back! Xxx
We have prime so it makes getting some stuff easier cause it comes in 2 days and it's stuff I really can't get locally. I buy alot of stuff for work too.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one!!! I just got a random pair of hideous black shoes that are solid rubber... something like maybe a nurse would wear? And they’re in my size. They were $30 on amazon!!
Did you look at your emails? Maybe they are thank you gifts from some of the app's that you order from. Enjoy your gifts! Happy New Year to you and your family. Hugs and kisses to Paco!
I got a stool with a bumpy top (stands about 6 -8 inches tall off of the floor) that I did not order. It is an expensive stool and cost almost $50. Prior to that I got another free item, but can't remember what it was. Kind of strange.
@@sarahmallonee where sellers off of amazon send inexpensive items to verified buyer accounts and than they post high reviews as them in order to trick unexpecting buyers when they come across their crappy item on amazon to think it is a quality product when it truly isn't. They also do it to make their product more visible on the platform because it appears to have more sells than it truly does.
That is weird. No, don't send them back. Like you said, it will just go in the pallets and someone else will get it. Rob can probably know what to do with the wires and stuff. Lol. I'm such an expert. Lol. Much love.
It is very weird. But from the comments seems like in not alone. Plus a bunch called Amazon and they said just to keep it. I just gave Rob the stuff and he was super excited. So score!
Its been crazy with the virus and everything. I would reach out and if they tell you to keep it then you should keep it. People arent getting thier items and could be xmas gifts or something. I see one where someone lost someones ashes somewhere in the mail. I would atleast reach out to make sure it wasnt for someone else. Money is hard to come by right now and packages are getting lost left and right. Its crazy
So alot of people in the comments said they contacted Amazon and they said to just keep it. One person said they gave her credit for being kind for calling. Crazy. It was so long ago now that I got them. Most were from October. Anything sent back to Amazon will not be resold. It goes into Amazon return pallets.
That's funny about the facelift strips. I just saw in my People magazine red carpet mistakes and celebs wear those and one girls was showing! They looked all clear tho.
LOL facial lifting tape. A device to hook up your camera to a computer, anklets, gel nail polish (I’d be happy to randomly get gel nail polish!) headphones and 2 normal power cords for smart phones. How random!
This really was a ran bunch of things. Rob was excited for the cords and capture thing so I guess that's a score and I'm going to give the polish to a friend for a late Christmas gift. They for sure can send more if they want. Lol.
Amazon sent me a package I received xmas eve that I did not order. It came with my name and address on it but definitely was not mine... it was 4 sets of lengerie and a pair of PJs from shein in size small and I'm a large. I also have never bought undies online so I have no clue... Amazon told me to keep it 🤗
Yes my daughter recieved 3 packages from Amazon she never ordered and it was random weird stuff she would never order like a heavy duty backpack a silicone claspsable water bottle and an ink cartridge ..she kept them though lol..
@@TheCheapChick That person got a great deal...gel polishes aren't cheap.. especially a set of them.....but the sets aren't usually full size...even at that, they can go for up to 27 dollars a set...some that are just one full size ones can be up to fifteen for one bottle... it's crazy because basically all they are is color mixed with uv resin...but it's that resin that cost so much...
That's a strange one...I try to buy locally. Even with the pandemic. ...had money taken from my gift card...got charged twice. So I sent things back that I needed...but was not going to pay twice. Hadn't used anything...so whomever got them after me got new things. Sad cause I really could have used them...and made me not ever want to buy on line again...some other seniors where I live had their money taken too.
Oh my goodness, I also got a package sent to my house from Amazon that I did not order! It was a floor cable cover, to cover your cables so people don't trip on them. I never ordered it or anything like it and I ended up giving it to my mom to use in her office.
My cards are fine. Turns out it's a brushing scam where they send stuff to people then write reviews on their behalf. Crazy thing is there is nothing you can do about it. Thanks for watching!
It's usually either Overstock or they don't want to pay the storage fees to Amazon so they give product away for free some sellers will give it away for free for a review but Amazon's been cracking down on that part of it so they usually will just give stuff out free there is actually a lot of forms you can fill out to actually sign up for free direct shipping
I'm always looking for USB-C to C Cables and they are $19.00 at the Apple store for one cable and I paid almost $40.00 dollars for 2 cables at the Apple store online.
That is so peculiar. I’d be afraid that it was a scam. They have double sent an order once, but I never sent the second one back. Then another time, I ordered something and received something completely different. The packing slip showed the item I actually ordered, though. I called and told them, so I sent that item back and they sent what they were supposed to send. A few months later, they said I never returned the item (they had listed that I was exchanging what I had ordered, not that I had received something completely different and was returning that item for the correct item). I tried calling them, but got a message that due to Covid, they didn’t have many people going. I decided to just let it go since I had received a double order in the past. Lol
Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened to you. Nothing is always perfect with Amazon. I need to return something cause I bought the wrong size and they are not going to give me the full amount back. But oh well I guess. I should have measured it first.
Oh wow that's awesome! I've heard it's a brushing scam where sellers send out packages then write their own reviews for the items. But I've gotten a few more so I'm going to plan another video soon.
Hello Again ...Melissa and Paco..very interesting❤️ that’s from the Amazon fairy👏👏👏👏she must have been inebriated when she sent you those random items. She needs to subscribe and watch. 😂
The face tape would go on before your makeup so when you put your makeup on you would cover the face tape which should cover the arrows though it seems like as dark as those arrows are you would probably have to apply quite a bit to cover them up I thought about getting those cuz of my old age and a lot of weight loss I'm a getting saggy skin
It’s a scam sellers send to random addresses they have got hold of from the net normally being sold on from other sites and then give themselves a 5 star review for a verified order
Very strange and a real mixture of items. Those bandaide things are weird with the arrows on them . Yes not sure I would trust that stick thingo though.
