Great video! I Just bought the 65 inch for the equivalent of $550. U.S. tax included. This will go in the Living Room. I’m Retired, not a gamer, suits my purposes. My wife can continue to watch her old Plasma in the Family Room. Some people just don’t want to upgrade. I’d buy her whatever she wants. 🤷🏼♂️

@@Mary-es4nx Thank you. This helped me make my decison. I mean the protection plan is only 40 dollars and it covers spills and falls and its only 15.42 a month. I just broke my lg by mistake and really didnt want to drop another 500 dollars. But this tv seems like the way to go.
Hi...I have a question and a comment: Between the Omni 75" say, and the Toshiba C350 75" which would you recommend as offering better picture performance and HDR brightness? My comment? I viewed your review of the Omni set and I was impressed. Your review was generally favorable for it. Why are so many other reviewers of the Omni and Toshiba giving them both a thumbs down yet you did not do so? I'm not questioning you on your expertise so please don't misunderstand. I'm interested in purchasing one the sets, but with so much negativity concerning either one I'm perplexed as to which one to go for or if I should go with another brand. Please inform if you would. Just a friendly suggestion, maybe mute the word “Alexa” or just show the word on screen? You essentially shut off my tv mid-video and now she’s looking up cute cat videos
I had a Toshiba M550. But when I bought it, I did not realize it came with hands-free Alexa. My screen broke so I was disappointed I couldn’t get the same model because I think it’s discontinued. I’m I’m very interested in trying this TV. I might wait to see if Toshiba comes out with a new model in the next month or so.
I've owned three Element televisions the pictures were all excellent... I still have the 43" in my bedroom. My new Omni 65" which I purchased from Amazon over five months has an excellent quality picture... but not all the time. There's been a couple of updates since I purchased this year. BTW... I love being an Amazon PRIME customer... there are some exciting new series to watch on Amazon Fire TV/Prime too.
It was great for xbox one but have not had a chance to really play on the PS5 yet. Will share in a follow up video. It has HDMI 2.1 but 60 hertz refresh.
@@noel4886 it's not real 2.1. Basically high end tvs or even some mid range have hdmi 2.1 which allows 4k at 120fps. Not exactly needed honestly and I have all 3 new systems
I don't use this 55" Omni for gaming and if you don't either then I recommend it, remember it's not a high end 2500 dollar tv and shouldn't be compared to one, it's not near as bad as some of the cheaper TVs on the market, Insignia, RCA, Westinghouse etc... and not near as good as some of the better brands of 4K like Sony, Samsung or the not so long-lasting LG, I would compare it to the Hisense, TCL or Sharp but for the price and the features and the overall picture quality "especially when tweaked", this tv is an awesome budget television.
Nice video. I can't decide between the 43" Omni Fire tv or a Hisense 43" Roku tv. I've only ever owned Google home, never Alexa but have been wanting to try her out. The Omni seems the way to go but I've heard the Hisense is higher quality. The prices are close, the Hisense is a bit more but not so much that it would sway my choice. In your opinion which do you think is the better choice? Thanks for your time and great videos
HI! My personal opinion would be to check out the Omni First but the Hisense is priced very competitively as well. The Omni has the smart features especially PIP that comes in handy especially for packages, front doors, baby cams, watching pets.
I really like this t but I would Not connect my home because of what happened to the man whom the delivery guy Thought he’d said something racist. His entire house was shut down by Amazon.
Hi! They announced you can with the Alexa Home Theater App. It supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. I will check if its available on the Omni and include it in a follow up.
I just got this last week, first time watching it someone said hey alexa do something, and the alexa on mine and the one on the show answered, couldn't turn that on fast enough, I already have google home
How do we zoom in for cable tv? I’m having an issue with that. The words are cut off on top, bottom and sides of the screen were we can’t even see them. I’m payee around with the settings and researched how to change it but still can’t find what I’m looking for. We’re about to return this thing bc it’s very annoying. Other then that the tv is great. But this is a major issue. We got the 65” for reference. So if anyone can please help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it.
No it doesn't, Alexa stays on when the tv is turned off BUT ......there is a button on the bottom of the tv to turn Alexa off if you don't want this device to answer.
If you don't like night lights .....most tv's have an LED light, a roll of electrical tape cost a dollar, you won't even use a tenth of a fraction of a cent of it.
I have the 50” Toshiba with fire tv and it looks exactly like the Omni. Are they actually the same tv? My tv was the newest model available this past Christmas.
It's a tv sized echo show, not meant for Peak brightness on the level of a CX costing 5 times as much. Good enough for someone that loves Amazon and don't need HDR
hi! I think it depends on budget. A budget under 100, an inexpensive soundbar will be more effective. But 2 echo studios + sub would deliver BIG sound and take advantage of home theater mode.
Alexa "if turned on while tv is turned on" will notify you and show you a smaller picture while watching your tv in the top corner of the set (picture in picture), If your tv is turned off you can go to settings and have it auto turn on or just tell you someone is there.
If you're into HALO or high end games and play on-line then absolutely not, more of a movie, tv, hockey game ......it is a standard 60 Heartz refresh rate, not the 120 you would desire.
This TV is junky. It won't let me select audio settings half the time. It says there is a lip sync setting in the settings, but it's not there. It also refuses to pair with my 3rd gen echo dot for sound.
You say hands free, yet you are holding an Alexa microphone......let's see if this tv will check my ring doorbell, light switch, etc without echo dot.....😳😄😄
When you do a video review about an Alexa product, change your wake word, or bleep it out. I was watching your video, and my TV shut off because you said her name. I don't know why more tech RU-vidrs don't understand this. It's not so hard.
tv 120hz refresh rate is more of a gimmick to me. The TV for the price is a great value. I just finished testing the Hisense Amazon Fire TV (u6 line) and that tv has a better picture but after using my omni for so long, you miss the features on the omni.
