I’m Brazilian and I live for 16 years out of Brazil, unfortunately I never been at this part of Brazil…hopefully, after this pandemic I want to visit there with my son, he’s 9 years old now and he loves to watch with me your Chanel, makes him excited to explore his half heritage. 3:07 -> Whoa!!! ...I just recognized that place...the sports field...the huge mango trees.....I was there...did the hike. We went in big ' circle' through the jungle. The guide was indigenous and showed us different plants and their uses. There was rubber harvesting and curing display at the end of the hike and a good meal at a local house. 8:21 -> Oi Carol! 9:07 -> Yes....I recognize the tree....we had a rest and talk from the guide, mostly in Portuguese. I went for a walk into the jungle alone and found the skull of a small animal. I brought it back to the guide and he said that it was large rodent that Jaguars fed on. I left the skull at the tree. If you get to Belem...go north.....

I'm from New Hampshire USA where we get long, cold winters and I've spent many years outdoors enjoying the winter and ice in freezing temps. The only time I've had hypothermia in my life was after riding a motorcycle for 3 hours in the rain in the Dominican Republic from Puerto Plata to Monte Cristi 30 years ago. I’m so sad to be back home from Rio. The weather wasn’t the best while I was there and yet I still had an amazing time. I just like you Carol got COVID while there but thankfully I’m full vaccinated and boosted so I only had minor symptoms and I was able to make it back home before testing positive. Love your channel and I’ll continue to follow along on your adventures but thanks again for getting me prepped for my trip to Brazil❤️

@@Isaac-yc4my Sim, porém na região amazônica, muito próxima da linha do Equador, não existem estações definidas. Tem o período das chuvas que vai, mais ou menos, de dezembro a junho (chove muito, as temperaturas ficam mais amenas até março, depois começa a esquentar bastante), e a estação seca que abrange a outra metade do ano, chove menos e chamamos de verão amazônico.

🌞Sad to see you had to walk through that heavy rain storm! Why didn't both cuddle to stay warm, you know it is part of survival. I felt bad for Carol being so cold as I am sure you as well Chris. It was a very cool forest and it was so thick, plus the giant trees were awesome. I found a tree like that in the Yucatan and was blown away! Kind of a bummer that the plans changed and you both were happy going in. but looked so exhausted coming out of the jungle. I loved the dancing and everyone was having such a great time, I wish I could of been there and I never would of left. Thank you Chris and Carol for such wonderful and joyous videos!!! 🌈😎

in remote areas of the amazon, public telephone booths are still the only means of communication, here we call them in portuguese de orelhão, in english ear big
