Genie is garbage. Enjoy it, Chamberlain is superior product, looking forward seeing video of you having to change this garage door opener is a few years.
Absolute garbage too. If you want a Quality garage door opener that is reliable and quiet buy LiftMaster or Chamberlain product. Not this genie garbage.
@@handydadtvhe always spews these irrelevant opinions just ignore it. Genie is actually better quality than most other mainstream openers in todays world
I thought you could wire an open close button from the main unit over towards the door. That's what I did, but I have an older genie unit. Should still do the same.
The Aladdin integration is currently not working in Home Assistant. Genie claims that it will be available "soon". If you want it to work now a dry contact relay and a contact sensor will work with these models.
You mounted your opener too high and that will cause a downforce on the top section when it goes to close the door and may bend the top section as it closes if it comes in contact with a obstacle and that also is why the other installer put an angle reinforcement across the top of the section.
@@handydadtv yes you would think a manufacturer would know the best way to install there product but unfortunately that is not always true I installed doors for 40 years starting in 1972 retired 10 years ago
