I bought a renewed iPhone 13 on Amazon recently and while it did come with a few dings and scratches, it was pretty much as described and I probably saved over $1000 over buying new. Glad to see you are doing these types of videos now.

Good tip on avoiding Facebook marketplace for used phone. Two of my friends had that same thing happen where the phone got blacklisted a month after buying it. Of course, the seller is no where to be seen.

I never considered purchasing a used phone then trading it in for the newer model, that's genuis! Lol hopefully the flip 6 will have some nice features and it'll be worth trading in. I bought my wife a renewed iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB and it arrived in like new condition. Not a single blemish or issue. I also bought a Meta Quest 2 renewed it also came like new. It even had the original packing material including the plastic film manufacturers put on the accessories. It was so new, I think they may have actually sent me a new one instead of a renewed one. Excellent experience both times.

I agree the Trekkie factor is cool. I keep a Sony flip phone for its nostalgia. I know of two people who have this exact phone (This is hearsay information.) They claim that it does not easily fit in their pocket easily as the thickness doubles in size. The liken it to having a wallet in their pocket.

I've bought a "renewed/refurbished" iPhone 6 a number of years ago. Yes, it works, it worked during it's "service life." It continues to work to this day. It think this is a great video, it that it brings to light the value that can be had if one were to buy a "used/refurbished" product. You won't always win, (scammers are everywhere) but it's definitely worth a try. If your wins ( when purchasing used/refurbished) exceed your losses, then your doing good. Great video Albert.

Thanks for this! Definitely would recommend you get a screen protector for Flip series phones. The display is soft and will start to get gouges and scratches if you swipe in the same areas over time.

Not gonna get a screen protector. So far I've not had any scratches and don't expect any in the future. Also not worth it given the price I paid for the phone. Hahaha Nice was looking at one of those for more than a year just to have something to run with smaller but always bulked at price.. Running the Note 10+ primary with a Pixel 4 backup currently.. Seriously wish HTC would bring back the OG M-Series like the M8, M9, and HTC One. People are still running them and I have a couple survivors myself but never tried doing an android upgrade to see if I could get app support back. TIRED OF DISPOSABLE PHONES! Also very ticked off Samsung has goon the Apple route and essentially locked down their phones by simply creating the phones image to roll out and then removing the local admin (Root) account from the image. You use to be able to just crack the root account and own your device but now the only way you can truly own your Samsung phone is by doing a clean android install which they are also making more and more difficult.....
