My options were to prove every single item with an invoice or get banned, like chase mentioned there are tons of items that are just discontinued and there is no way of proving how you got it. It’s not worth the fight for me at least. The annoying part is getting the rest of my funds back, Amazon makes you wait three months to even try to get your remaining funds and it’s just another appeal process for the exact same thing you got banned for so I’m not expecting anything back.

@@bennystratton7734 Sure you can say that and that’s fair however getting banned for a single mistake on a selling platform is absurd. I’ve been doing this full time for three years on multiple platforms and in that time I’ve made mistakes, this is going to happen to anyone on their reselling journey, but the difference between Amazon and any other reselling platform is that you get chance to rectify your mistake. I had one issue and I was removed from Amazon and that was that. No amount of going through Amazons policy was going to change that. It’s a simple mistake and anyone here could have made it.

its there sandbox but hey look the bright side the FTC and 17 state attorney generals (more to come) have a law suit against amazon THIS is one of the reason they put in there law suit amongst MANY all we can do now is keep our fingers crossed if this truly happen to you contact the FTC to tell your story to them they might be able to use it as evidence against Amazon

1000% Correct it was gong to happen sooner or later just like they did to all the Retail Arbitrage sellers in 2015 wiped them clean off the site alot of us OLD timers (been selling full time on amazon since 1998) told these sellers of retail arbitrage they are going to get get kicked off sooner or later better stop now and play by the rules then try to skirt around them. Its why Amazon has Amazon seller university videos and why they have Amazon seller forums not just to look at amazon seller university videos EXPLAINS this whole concept of they CONSIDER an invoice and what they don't consider an invoice showing a Walmart or any other retail store receipt will NOT be considered by AMAZON an Invoice period end of story anyone that wants to contest that take amazon to court then Best of luck

1000% because ANY platform be it amazon , Ebay, Posh Mark, Mercari, Offer Up, Facebook Tik Tok, ANY platform can shut you down without any explanation LIKE THAT and why you have to make sure YOU DO NOT RELY souly on ONE platform but have a mixture and even out all them to all be equal to each other so if you lose one ITS NOT a big loss

Yes they do 1000% and why they are currently in law suit filed by the FTC and 17 State attorney Generals this is ONE of many reasons the FTC and 17 State attorney generals Listed in there law suit if they win and amazon loses amazon will be forced to Split up into smaller companies its something AMAZON DOES Not want so i do no see the law suit ending anytime soon maybe 2 or 3 years but again im hoping for a win by the FTC and 17 state attorney Generals it will give more of a level playing field for the Third Party Sellers when it comes to amazon they will make amazon create a marketplace like eBay where AMAZON cant sell/compete against its third party sellers amazon will have to make there OWN Amazon website were they sell there OWN products! again i hope the FTC and 17 State attorney generals win SPECICILLY for that reason

they need a invoice because other bigger sellers are reporting the smaller sellers for selling the same items they have the rights to sell

Setting up their own website makes the most sense considering the audience they already have on social media. At least in my opinion. Conventions are definitely great too but that involves having to travel around a lot too.

a distributor is way different then a wholesaler even if you would have gone through with it its not official channels to get inventory (under amazon rules) you have to find out who the official Authorized Distributor's are and buy directly from them or the company NOT a wholesaler go google "distributor vs Wholesaler" google will explain all

Yes it happen in 2015 i have reselling on both amazon and eBay since 98' i have seen this a few items it all comes down to the platform protecting themselves from LIABLITY from the companies This is why most that were on YT in the early 2010's doing Retail Arbitrage on Amazon are NO LONGER on amazon OR YT there were all banned they were warned by LONG time amazon sellers like myself and others here and on the amazon seller Forums (most sellers that frequent the amazon seller forums will have NO sympathy for these new round of sellers being band they will say they brought it on themselves BY NOT READING THE RULES and NOT UNDERSTANDING the rules OR JUST IGNORNING THE RULES) this is why amazon has Amazon Seller UNIVERSITY all sellers ARE SUPPOSE TO watch those videos it to start selling. Just because you might get ungated for ONE item or Category does not mean you have the authorization to sell anything in that category amazon assumes you have authorization from the Authorized Distributor or Company and they assume that is where you are getting your Inventory from NOt wal Mart or any other retail store NOR thrifts or yard sales or flea markets.......if i can give any advice you want to have your account for 20 plus years IF ITS gated DONT LIST IT on amazon FIND ANOTHER platform to sell it on period. i could see this coming its like every 10 years they purge sellers who are either pliantly ignoring the rules or were stupid to not read them and understand them in the first place to them (amazon) they do not need sellers like that that do not read or comprehend the rules or BREAK THEM pliantly. i do agree with one thing you stated and its been an issue amazon has yet in over 20 years addressed or fixed the issue where they had the original listing that amazon created in there catalog but then you had the idols that are Pro merchants that could not get ungated for one reason or another so instead of just saying okay i cant list i ton amazon ill list it elsewhere they go an create a whole new Product detail page FOR THAT ITEM now we have 2 product Detail Pages for the same item then we have 3 then we have 4 and so on and so on which one is the LEGIT one again i have been on amazon for 25 years i can spot the fake product detail pages from the ones amazon ORIGINALLY created for there catalog

They have kicked/gated sellers all the time nothing new. Just sucks its happening now to a lot of sellers who rely on Amazon.

It's been going on in canada for 2 years now anything that's first party playstation can't be posted even if it's ps2 or ps1 new or used

I don't know about that in Canada. I just went on Amazon Canada and searched parasite eve 2. It won't ship to me in the USA, but it was available used from third party sellers.

I believe one of the first companies to be restricted/requiring invoices even for used games was Electronic Arts, a few years back. And then more companies followed.

stop blaming the government IDIOT its not the governments fault does not matter if its red blue or purple running the government idiot!! you don't want to work harder because the platforms are rising fees or postage is going up (it goes up every year twice a year like clock work always has for 2 decades!!! where have you been!) so JUST STOP THE FALSEHOODS and pull up your big girl britches and EIHER DO More work and get more in return or STOP whining and JUST quit and go make another company rich by working for them at a 9-5 brick and mortar job be a slave for them instead of running your own business and being a WORKER your business.
