Amazon (AWS) Textract has added handwriting recognition!

From what I understand the new version (with handwriting) is now rolled out across all regions.

Is this only for forms? Can this be used to read journals then be able to extract information?

Do we have option to extract data from scanned document with check boxes...?? I've often seen that most ocrs fail when it comes to identifying check boxes and radio buttons

Hi, you have a human review tab @4.04 is it in specific region or its been remove, i cant see it

Interesting. You’re right, I can’t see this in my console either. At the time of recording I was using a pre-release version of the console. I’m not sure if that tab ever made it into production. However the human review is still part of Textract through Amazon A2I and you can see the docs here: docs.aws.amazon.com/textract/latest/dg/a2i-textract.html
