@@MoneyStruggleSuccess Thank you for the information. I will also add that you have a very listenable voice. It’s clear, well modulated, and has a nice, upbeat tone. Go ahead and listen to yourself like you were listening to a stranger, and I think you’ll hear that everything I say is so. 😊
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess I’ve heard a lot of people say that don’t like their voice, but imagine for a few moments what your life would be like without it. Think about people who lose their voice due to illness or a stroke, and how it changes everything for them. Our voices are an amazing gift to be cherished. Just something to consider.🤗
The two things I figured out pretty quickly but wish I'd known right away were 1) With a few limited exceptions, Vine stuff is NOT free. Taxes, done legally, are going to make it roughly 33 - 50% of the ETV, and the ETV is their listed sale value, not what the thing is actually worth. And 2) For items where cheap crappy knockoffs are common (batteries, in my field of interest) vendors still happily supply trash to the Vine program in hopes of getting reviewers who don't actually test the product. You can get items that are garbage that you can't return and that you have to pay taxes on very easily.
That's why I've stuck with mostly 0 ETV items and by requesting the taxable ones sparingly I've managed to stay under $400 last year. Most of them as you said, aren't worth the tax hit and the same items can be found cheaper on China dumping sites like Temu and Alibaba. I'm on course to get Gold next month and was able to achieve it by reviewing 0 ETV supplements alone.
Been a member for only two months and the one thing I wish I knew beforehand was that the vast majority of the items are junk that nobody would want and the sellers apparently can't unload any other way. When I hear stories about all the "free" electronics, furniture and people and pet food members claim to have gotten and furnished their home with, I think I must have joined a different Vine. Now if one wants to build a vast collection of cake toppers, baby bottle nipples and hair extensions, it might prove very beneficial.
This is possible once you get to Gold. Ive been offered tables, beds, bedframes with headboards, double pane window inserts and so much more. It was a combination of them offering me stuff and me using the search bar to see if something would pop up.
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess The catch 22 being having to review 100 products and all while keeping one's total ETV under $600 in order to be promoted. Considering I'm lucky to find more than two items a week I could really use and don't want to risk thousands of dollars in tax and devote hours a week reviewing junk I don't really need just to reach the threshold, I doubt I'll ever become Gold.
Thank you so much. I wonder if someone could leave Vine on good terms and be able to come back at a later time. There is a lot of different things Amazon says about the same topic. It makes it hard because I can lose my benefits because of it. Or, nothing is said and it's up to anyone's interpretation. Two weeks in and I'm already trying to get an attorney. That shouldn't have to happen. Why do they have the Vine orange toggle button if it hurts everyone to use it? So many new questions every day.
I would assume if you leave they wouldn't invite you again because you left. However, to stay active in the program I would mention for you to focus on the $0 ETV products until you get clarity. This is a great program for benefit recipients, but the ETV is a major question mark for those to wanting to make sure they don't loosw their benefits. Regarding the orange toggle I'm not sure what you mean by "it hurts everyone who use it". To my knowledge, It just indicates you're a Viner to those who read your reviews. Care to elaborate on this?
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess I thought I heard you mention that if you turn off the "Show Vine Badge on my reviews" that Vine didn't like that and you had to turn it back on.
I think you missed a few words, but thats okay. Let me reiterate what I stated. To submit multiple reviews without Amazon blocking you for suspected excessive fake reviews (think bots etc) the badge tell the system these are Vine reviewers and they leave us alone.
Has anyone some tips for me to get into the vine program? I’ve been writing about 3 very detailed reviews per day since a week now. Recently I try to add some photos or videos to the reviews. And are there any tips to get more „helpful“ on my reviews? Thanks
Amazon is a a mystery! Ive looked at other people talk about this same topic and it's nothing we can do. They just pick random people. I was in your shoes like 2 years before I got the email invite. Just be patient which is easier said then done.
I've heard it's entirely random and could just be Amazon picking certain geographic areas at a time. It also helps if your reviews are being marked as helpful as well
@@CodeGap yea true. But in my opinion the helpful system is also not the best. It says not much about the quality of the review. Most people also only read the upper reviews. And 1,2 or 3 Star ratings are more likely to get no likes.
Very informativ video. Can someone tell me if it is allowed to publish reviews of vine products on youtube + using affiliate links? The TOS are confusing for me on this point.🤔
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess So... Amazon doesn't own your reviews? And you can use them elsewhere? If so, then everyone should be posting their reviews on YT!
@teacherlisa163 You have to read the Vine fine print. You should also watch some videos within my Vine playlist for more information on this topic.. You can not copy & paste an Amazon written review anywhere else as a Viner. Browse the Vine playlist, then get back to me if you don't see answers to your questions. 🧡
I'm not sure if other countries have this option or not. I'm a US viner, but if you are a US viner and don't see it then maybe you wasn't given that option.
After you receive your item how long do you have to review on Amazon it says review as soon as possible but on RU-vid it says review within 30 days but that don’t want you to review too many at once this can cause you to be cut please help
When you review items you want to review them in the order that you ordered them (last page of reviews 1st). You want to review them all asap and make sure you click the button "show Vine Review" next to your name so the system will allow you to review as many as you want without getting flagged. (In my experience)
Ok. I’m a little confused and I’m hoping you can help. I’m on vine Australia. I’m not sure if it’s new here or not. When I started a month ago there was 1000 items. Now there is about 5000. So it’s growing fast…. I have reviewed 85 items and 88% of my orders. It says I must do 80 items and 90% of my reviews to go to gold…. I’m now in a conundrum. If I order more items. My 88% reviewed items go down but I need 90%. The only items I haven’t reviewed yet are items currently being shipped. Do I need to stop ordering. Now that I’m at the point of satisfying both the 80 items and 90% reviewed? And review the rest of the items as they come to me? Can I be bumped to gold once I’ve down this, or do I have to wait until the end of 6 months to get to gold? This is not clear in any of the terms and conditions? TIA :)
Let me ask you this: even though you live outside of the US, do you have an evaluation date? If not, I would wait until the products I have already ordered arrive so I wouldn't order more than needed to meet the 80 items ordered and 90% review.
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess thanks for getting back to me. You are correct, I have an eval date. Vine is definitely new to Australia, I found a video on RU-vid hosted by Amazon introducing vine to the Australian sellers 14 days ago. I have ordered 3 items a day religiously since being accepted. I have 6 items pending review. (Waiting for delivery) I’ve reviewed 92 items in detail. 85 of those items the review has been accepted - 7 pending acceptance by Amazon. This currently has me at 88% for 85 items in my account stats. (90% at 80 items is our requirement). Do they ever bump you to gold mid evaluation period? If so I need to stop ordering so I can let those reviews process? Or do I just need to meet those requirements in 6 months time at the evaluation date? As it stands. No one in Australia will be gold until 6 months time if that’s the case. Thanks
Nope, You must wait until your evaluation date. Review my Vine playlist as it may help you get more understanding of what you can and can't do while in this program. Look into how taxes will be delt with as well. If none of my videos answer your questions, I'll hopefully be able to answer them if its similar to whats going on here in the US. God luck 🧡
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I’ll look into your channel more - didn’t realise you had more videos. As far as I can tell, we don’t pay any tax on items ordered here in Australia. (We pay enough income tax as it is, and pay 10% gst on any items we buy in shops/ online, but that’s managed by the seller not the buyer so you don’t ever have to think about it). I wouldn’t participate if I did have to pay tax separate on each item. Not enough decent items worthy of my money, when each item is costing me 30-50 minutes of my time as it is! Paying tax on it all wouldn’t be worth it to me! I would hope that if you pay tax. You should be able to sell it immediately. And or, you should be able to claim depreciation on those items for a minimum of 6 months before you can turn it into “income”. Which would take HOURS to sell junky individual items with massive depreciation. The only benefit for you, is a huge amount of items to choose from.
The US tax system s very flawed. Howevee, when you know where to look and apply the rules to your individual situation it helps alot. I've done this long enough to benefit from every products I accept. There are many hidden gems on the Vine platform. In the beginning it was simple things (storage containers, toys, office supplies etc) Now I get furniture, beds, massagers, and popular brands new releases. I also only order what I need to satisfying the program and donate what I dont use which is majority of it immediately. I don't hold on to anything after a few days.
The question I have now is, does anyone or yourself know by experience as a viner, if there is a known limit of reviews you can do daily so you dont get flagged?
how do you know that the "show vine badge" has any effect in getting flagged by Amazon? it doesn't make sense. like what makes you think to an almost certainty that it has any connection to you getting banned?
This information has already been explained from a video in my Vine Playlist. Amazon Vine Program | How To Review 15 Amazon Vine Products A Day Without Getting Account Effected ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CCZNUaeSDrk.html No lesson is better learned than by doing it yourself as well. If you have the badge on, turn it off and submit ( based on my experience) 8 or more written reviews a day and see happens. This video is a few month old, so it's 50/50 if you choose to accept the challenge.
You stated that we can cancel orders but not how to do this. I am new & recently tried to cancel one and it said I was unable to and it was minutes after I ordered it. Maybe Amazon has changed that, not sure.
Have you ever canceled a amazon.com order? Its the same process. Orders>Find product>click cancel or make changes. I can't recall the verbiage off hand this second. The system will say can't cancel when the product has been prepared for shipping and they can't stop the process. This is the only explanation I have. Some products give you more time, but you shouls only cancel sparingly.
Got it. I am heeding your advice to take time in choosing what I truly want to review. I initially went to the Vine order listed under orders & tried canceling one item and it said I could not cancel it. THX so much for your videos, they are truly helpful!
Hi everyone, I'm curious about the Amazon Vine program and would love to hear about your experiences getting invited. How was the process for you, and do you have any tips or recommendations for someone hoping to join? Thanks in advance!
My experience was a random email that I thought was spam initially. I revuewed every product and attached inages. Recently, new people have been invited and I found that many did way less and still got invited. My initial thoughts on how to get the invite is nowgone because they inviting anyone no matter the number of reviews submitted.
They want you to review 100 items in 90 days? What? I'm scared to have that many items show up at my doorstep with the neighbors I have. Can you even order that many items in 90 days? This sounds like a job lol. I just got invited to the program, and I don't know what to make of it. So much to learn.
Lol, well the good news is they lowered it to 80 🤣. You can surely order more than 80 or 90 being apart of this program. Congrats but be cautious ⚠️. This program can really get you in trouble tax wise, so order only what you need and shoot for $0 ETV products. I recommend you browse my Vine playlist on my channel. It is full of helpful videos and I am posting more as well. You can also shoot me an email if you ever need advice/help with Vine.
My understanding is you only have to review those 100 (or now 80) items within 6 months. But I'm not a Vine Voice (yet), but I have received an invitation, so I am looking for information about it.
Yes, this is true in regards to the items and review percentage. The taxes is the part many struggle with and ordering too much stuff becuase there isn't any upfront cost. If you haven't watched my Vine playlist, I suggest just browing the videos I have and see what topics interest you.
I need help with my taxes! Im a sole proprietor and resell my vine items on Etsy business. I received a 1099 from Vine and Etsy. I’m not sure how I should file 😬
I would recommend using a online tax software that will walk you through how to file like Turbotax. This is what I use and here is my referral link that can give you up to 20% off the filing fee. You even have the option to spean with real CPAs whilw you file. Turbotax: turbo.tax/qrndbwcp
1:20 yes like ladies under garments .... im a 55 year old man LOL but im in the uk program so zero taxes to worry about cant believe how bad it is for you americans.
well we have the uk to thank for that, after all, you guys were one of the early major central bank models the rest of the world is enslaved by. thanks "zionists"!
All categories are filled with items reviewed daily. There is no "main" as each person individually like one particular category over the other. This is a personal preference type of question.
Keep in mind that it's rare for this to be truly name brand stuff though. Sony doesn't need Vine to get reviews of PlayStations. It's mostly alphabet soup Chinese brands trying to get into the Amazon market. Doesn'tnt mean the stuff is no good, but resale is tough.
@@MoneyStruggleSuccess If they pause, then do they also pause their requirements? Obviously, you can't complete reviews if you can't order products to review.
The question about taking ownership. The page here says that items from 3rd party sellers will be owned by the Viner in 6 months, but Amazon-branded items will transfer to the Viner upon ordering. True?
I've read current conflicting information on the Vine website that states as you mentioned the 6 month waiting period, but they also have a portion that states once the item ships and arrives we are the owners 100% at that time. I've asked Vine support and all I got was conflicting information from 3 different people, so I can't say honestly. 😔
Hi, your video has been really helpful. I just want to point out that there seems to be two different ownership time frames, depending on whether an item is an Amazon-sold item (immediate) or a 3rd party seller (6 months)
Thank you for your help! Yes, I only talked about one on this video, however I have contacted Amazon to question this and I've received conflicting responses. Because of that experience, by default, I only talk about the kost common known 6 month time frame. Thank you again for making that second scenario known since I never mentioned it.
Your comments aren't posted in the comments section, but I see it in my notifications. If you can log into your Vine account, then you are fine. If you can't, I would email Vine customer support and request to update your email address to connect to a new Amazon account. You would lose one without the other I would think, but try my suggestion and see what happens.
@blakedowny3834 pretty much nailed what I was going to say! This was the first video of yours I viewed - now I'm subscribed and several videos deep.😀Really appreciate the time you take to share your experiences with newbs! I'm green as grass at this- less than a week, and it all just seems...too good to be true? So yeah, expected *some* downside and cannot express enough thanks for your willingness to share the pros and cons both.
