Awww Amber is not mean!! Y'all are too precious. I'm so proud of how much progress Eva has made, and Amber has clearly always supported her! You guys are fantastic.
Note: the reason for leading with the hips is that our natural instinct is to lead with our head, and when the head moves forward, the hips move backward to counterbalance. This not only prevents you from fully getting en pointe but is actually dangerous since it's more likely that your foot would slide out from under you. There's more regarding how far away the standing foot should be, but that needs to be addressed in person.
And, of course, maintain tension in your abdominal muscles to keep your head directly over your hips or you'll arch backwards like she does in the next video.
She smart, loving and expressive! Sometimes people think that’s mean, but with age that’s *chef kiss* perfect. And knowing where you make a mistake as it happens?! They are both destined for such luscious careers
If Amber were mean, she wouldn't give up her time to teach you, I don't think she's mean, you clearly get each other and there's no point sugar coating things, she just wants to give you the advice and corrections. Plus, when she says well done or similar, you'll know you really got it. You've come so far, you pick up fast and seem to absorb corrections. I think you doubt yourself, look at how amazing you're doing. It wasn't all that long ago that you were being shown how to get over en point by Claudia, now look at you en pointe! Be proud of yourself, I'm really proud of you. ❤
Amber you're not mean. You have to teach her how to do it right. Being mean would be to not help. But you are taking the time to break down the positions & steps. You are gently teaching her compared to some ballet instructors I have had.
She's not mean. I love her personality! She makes me laugh. I love that her and Mel are the 2 best I've ever seen...like BORN to be ballerinas... and they are polar opposite personalities.
I love how honest they all are with each other. When you’re really good at something (or learning something new from accredited professionals) well-intended honesty is essential.
Haha Amber isn’t mean. She’s the kind of “mean” you are with your absolute best friend; like maybe be a little harsh sometimes but at the end of the day, you would do anything for em 🥹❤️
Loads of fun and WORK. I'm a non dancer definitely not ballet... I wonder if i could have?! and I am subscribed to this channel. !! Dont even know how i found it .(.AI.) I love watching and learning. THE level of PHYSICALITY AND STRENGTH to look and flutter like a nymph or butterfly is asounding ❤❤❤
Someone told me once to push through the ends of your toes while in pointe shoes maybe that’ll help she’s doing amazing though I see a lot of progress ❤❤
People think Amber is mean because they're used to youtubers faking smiles and behaviours all the time. I, personally, love how she doesn't fake anything and adds amazing humour to the videos. Also, she and Eva are very close so they allow themselves to be like this around each other. Not to mention, she is honest, if it's good it's good, if it's not it's not. Chill out y'all.
Anyone who has worked to accomplish a high level skill knows that you need an honest outlook. It’s not mean, it’s the best way to learn! Mean is saying something rude (honest or not) just for the sake of it. Taking the time to help someone improve, especially when they asked for it, and being transparent is the quickest way forward.
