Amber Lynn stayed up front and kept her nose clean for 100 laps and then a few more. She was running second to Michael Adams who was about to take the white flag when a caution came out for a car blowing an engine in turn 1. Adams went into turn 1, spun all the way around, but not before knocking the rear bumper cover off the race car.
He tried fiercely under caution to shake the rear bumper loose so he could stay on the track but it just wouldn't shake free. Adams had to serve the black flag for the loose body panel, Amber Lynn inherited the lead and was able to fend off Zack Ore for the Green/White/Checkered Finish.
Lynn is the winningest female driver at Bowman Gray, now with 12 wins at the historic quarter mile.
