Every dog does get them... it doesn’t mean anything neurological or body language (other than excitement) to the dog. Unless the dog started retracting, what you said, is wrong.!

Audrina R it might be fun for you to take your dog to a mall. But any dog expert/ psychologist, or a normal person that knows about dog psychology will tell you it sucks for the dog. In my country you can take a small dog in certain stores. I have a friend that takes his dog sometimes to the dog store in the mall. And he or I can tell you first hand he seems disturbed and confused because of all the noises, smells and people. He handles it fine, he just looks stressed and you can see it on his face he doesn't like it really... Dogs are animals still, you should respect their nature and share the activities they would love rather then just dragging them around:D Its the same with the kids really.

Places very city like, like LA, miami, San Francisco, NYC etc are VERY open to letting you have your pets and such. There aren’t really many laws in the US preventing you from bringing your pets unless stated otherwise. Just pretty much not food establishments. But that’s it honestly.

it's mostly nice stores in big cities that allow it, but smaller cities don't allow dogs in stores
