This is how Amber is; it's not a concept from SM. If you look at her predebut pictures, she has ALWAYS dressed like a tomboy. She has said in multiple interviews that she's just comfortable dressing like that ever since she was a kid.

The guy in the beanie was pretty rude, just saying. "She looks like a guy"? That was uncalled for. Amber is so beautiful and she doesn't have to be 'feminine' to his standards.

QT Khan So what if she doesn't conform to the stereotypical standards of what a female idol should look like? I am aware that he didn't say she isn't beautiful; my problem is that he spoke critically of her style. The way he said it implied that her different appearance is a negative thing.

Yes amber does look like a guy i know shes a girl but im still.confused so girl crush added i also have short hair like amber anyways amber is very beautiful and im glad she still has her tomboy image sense she is most comfortable it seems for that image i didnt think he sounded rude i said the same thing but more.shocked that they kept her image and not turn her girly..just saying :)

Amber's album, doe! I think her album showed her feminine sides. She sang for the whole album rather than rapped. She also wrote and composed every song on the album. Her song Beautiful is about her boyish looks and how she's often judged for it, especially in K-pop. You should react to her Beautiful video.
