You are talking about me today. It's been 40 years of RSD/CRPS and I'm in a huge flair that is taking me down. And like you said, I can't go back to that place. I live alone, I've always been on my own. I'm embarrassed to tell people who don't know me as a "chronic pain person" that I'm in pain. But I don't know what to do today. I'm so afraid. I live in gratitiude. On fb my line is "when I'm in gratitude, I find my grace." But today, I'm falling down. And I'm scared. Thank you Amber. I have a little more this minute than I did an hour ago because of you. I'll download your book. Something, right now, has to give. Im changing my diet and that's hard. I'm starting on the 40 plus pills a day to do something with a naturopath. But you know, i recently joined a new church (Unity), of really nice people, and after 40 years in this alone, it might be time to tell a few people I'm a hurting puppy sometimes. Why am I so embarrassed about it. You know, when you spend your whole life trying to be like everyone else...it's hard to say "ok, you know, actually I'm a little different." Without feeling like people are going to think you are having a pitty party. Cause I'm not. I'm just really in a lot of pain right now. And I'm tired. Soo tired. Thanks.

AmethystWoman I just read your comment and wish I could see to to give you the biggest hug right now! I hear you and I feel you! You are so strong and so resilience to wake up every day and face the world with pain. We all have those days when the pain brings us down to our knees! For me that’s the best place to start praying. I just want you to know you are no alone in this and I’m sending you much love and strength. I appreciate your watching this and it makes my heart so full to know it resonated with you! This is our story! We are stronger together!!!

My heart hurts for you as I read this, I hope you have gotten better treatment for your pain. Know that you are heard and you are not alone . I wish all of our voices could be heard but together WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. All I’ve ever known my entire life, or well from the age of 4. What has helped me is having a few close friends that understand what I’m going through because they experience it for themselves . So maybe join some groups on fb and get to know others and there stories . One thing that really helped me was attending ladies Bible studies and doing morning deviations and spending some time alone with god praying. Once you get in the habit of going to church don’t stop because it’s 1000x’s as hard to get back to that sacred place where you left off . Just my experience, I have to make a decision not to make excuses for myself not to attend church because I don’t feel good or I’ve gained a ton of weight during the COVID pandemic. Hugs to you my sweet warrior .

Thanks For everyone’s Story I know You are such Brave People . I do know The Struggles you Have For Have This Going into 38 Yr. You Learn You Have It , you Have To be Strong and Deal With It. You don’t Know Why you Have this Cross to Bare But The only way to Deal With It Is To ask God each day To Help you through it and He will The other Thing is Things Can always Get Worse.Amen For All of Us

I live with 4 facial neuralgias and Anesthesia Dolorosa which are just below CRPS on the pain scale, and also known as suicide diseases. I will be buying your book today. Thank you for your candor.

this video gives us hope when we lose hope and have no more. Has RSDSA ever had a speaker talk about RSDSA and suicide/suicide prevention? I've always seen crps being referred to as the suicide disease but haven't actually seen any educational presentation on the psychology of suicide in connection with crps it might be an interesting topic to cover

We have suicide prevention resources and our support groups often discuss this, but we will also take note of your idea. Thank you!

Amberly I first want to thank you for the strength, courage and fight that you have in you to be that silent voice of chronic pain that is too often shhhh’d 🤫. I’ve always said I would give anything to be given a 🎤 and just shout out what life is truly like living when you live in chronic pain (the outsiders and a lot of our physicians don’t know all of the gory details) , because we still try to exemplify some pride . A lot of us are too shameful to admit the limitations that chronic pain often causes us. We just want HELP, we just want to LIVE, we just want some form of normalcy in our lives for once . To wake up and feel beat down before your feet even hit the floor is not an easy task. I’m a mom of 2 kids and not having a cure for things like neuropathy doesn’t make life any easier. You know how I said I’d give anything to I know without any doubt that god performed a miracle and we should praise him for showing the world that even having a 1%chance he can still perform miracles . And through your story I feel very confident that others will too find the hope and inspiration that I just found . Thank you for taking the 🎤 for all of us who suffer and live in chronic pain. We need to sprinkle each other with love and gentle hugs as often as we can.

There is no sound when Amberly's resilience presentation starts at about 9min. Can this be fixed please?? First part is fine.

Can you please send us the exact timestamp because we are not experiencing that outage. We do not have a way to fix it at this time but we can at least note it!

@@RSDSA Oh, I just found out what's causing it. It's when I listen on my soundsystem through a bluetooth adapter that I don't get any sound starting from 9:32. When I listen on my laptop it works fine. Strange but true! Anyway, I was finally able to hear Amberly's presentation. She's truly an inspiring lady, so thanks for sharing (and replying)!
