Here in the uk we don’t go for our first mamagram until mid 50’s unless you have a history of cancer in the family

I started at 35, I think, but I’m old. The guidelines were rewritten a few years ago so now I think it’s 40 for first one, unless you have a history of breast cancer in your family.

Well, now I've heard it all. Pookie Lynn is so beautiful that the technician giving her the mammogram risked her job just to tell ALR how pretty her face was. The same thing happened to me as Mrs. Sin. Thankfully it was nothing but I made the appointment at the breast center days later. Pookie Lynn wouldn't know the truth if it spit in her face.

Her obesity greatly increases her risk for breast cancer. I've had a breast biopsy and you have to lay down for that.

She's saying it like it is spelled 'Mam-MO-gram' but it is pronounced 'mam-muh-gram' and a quick easy Google search clarifies that. That aside, her doctors have surely said it, out loud, several times!

Okay. Speaking as someone who not only has family who practically bought an entire hospital wing with how often they had to go but also 3 doctors in the family, I can ASSURE you that medical PROFESSIONALS would not make that kind of compliment. At BEST, this is TRUMP-levels of hyperbole. Even Tiny Blue Anthropologist noted that ALR is _DIVING_ into her "Lie Zone," here, and the woman is a professional.

To be fair mammalgrams are weird. Insurance doesn’t cover them if you’re under 40 unless you fall under specific categories. I have TEN tumors (fibroadenoma) in my breast. They only did ultrasound instead of mammalgram. I’m only 29. I had to get double biopsies this week and normally AFTER the biopsies they will do a mammalgram to make sure the little titanium markers are in place. Since I was under 30(the age minimum is slightly reduced from 40 for biopsies) they didn’t do it. Hell even the ultrasound wasn’t fully covered by insurance, I had to go through my deductible and it cost me $1000 out of pocket. All that to say there’s a reason young women don’t get them regularly. You pretty much can’t. Even now with my doctor saying “we need to do 2 years of follow ups to make sure these continue to behave normally” it will still be ultrasound only and not mammogram.

Some insurance do cover testing for the Brest cancer genes with her cancer history it likely will…but also 23 and me has it included in their tests among a few other genetic reports

dotted all i’s and crossed all t’s = did hours and hours and hours and hours of research but yet always misses the most obvious of details that she should’ve wanted to know immediately like optovia’s calorie amount and whether or not she can even promote medication on her channel as per tos . yea calling bs . and the mammOgram tech story also even bigger stinkier bs . she’s ridiculous

Women between 40 and 44 have the option to start screening with a mammogram every year. Women 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year. Women 55 and older can switch to a mammogram every other year, or they can choose to continue yearly mammograms.
