My generation faced so much stigma from Mumbaikars who used to ridicule people from Ambernath by calling it a village. Hopefully the new generation helps in uprooting the stigma. It is a top tier metro city for your knowledge, 3rd richest in the country with rich cultural and educational demographics, may be you have never been out of your ignorant and backward mindset. And stop saying 'We Maharashtrians'. I have many Maharashtrian friends in both Maharashtra and Kolkata especially students from IISER and IIM Kolkata, rarely seen an educated one talk like you.

I have stayed in Ambernath for more than 30 years. I work for an MNC and shuttle between Delhi, UK and Ambernath. So think before talking shit about anyone online.
