Ambient Jam but with some drums included,
featuring Erica Synths SyntrX II with a fat analog patch I made for the bass line and drone, modulated internally, and manually via the Joystick. The SyntrX II is a living wild machine.
My two faithful Minilogue XDs, one using the Chips2 digital user oscillator to make some C64-like arpeggios. Both processed further by Eventide H90 Harmonizer.
Roland MC707 adds 3 sound tracks. Drums, Pads, Mono synlead.

Such a wonderful song full of evolving textures and imaginative sound designs. A longer song, but those 11 minutes flew by before I knew it, an indication it was the correct length song :) It is always a delicate matter including drums with ambient music, it has been the greatest challenge for me for the last 5 years. Your drum pattern fit perfectly. Only...in my humble opinion the kick seemed like it wanted to be softer with a slower attack and decay as well as less level. And the snare used once per measure could have been drenched in delay and reverb moving it to the back of mix and blending with the synths. A great song I really enjoyed listening to, and can't wait for the next one.

I truly appreciate the technical feedback! And I agree on the drums. I am the culprit here, by not taking the time to polish the mixing as I should. Lack of skills in that compartment I'm afraid (need to work on that), and toolchain (I don't work the mix in a DAW yet, I just record and slightly master the final mix to make it at least loud enough). But there are definitely unbalance in the tracks. Being careless with the drums is my bad! I need to put some time, efforts and tools in the end of chain work.

Thanks for the feedback :) What I'd like to do is ideally to be able to mix & record each synth voice independently (each one on its own track) so I can improve my gain staging, mixing, and mastering, but my mixer hasn't enough channels :) Need to scale this up...

@@jessfromsquareone Yes, I understand. I have 32 channels of mixer but only 8 inputs to my recorder. Someday would like to replace with a 20 input and get full control of the mix instead of a summed 32 channels.

@@WildernessMusic_GentleSerene I started to look at pro USB audio interfaces in that range (minimum 16 inputs but ideally 32 to have some headroom - one day I'd like to add some Eurorack stuff in the mix). Arturia Audiofuse 16 rig + ADAT extensions, some solid options at Presonus too, or something comparable at RME, but hard to navigate there, many choices, and pricey, to say the least 😅 Can't be the priority now. Let's make some actual music first!
