Ambient / Sequencer liveset at Superbooth 22 (with Oberheim Xpander, Iridium, Waldorf M, Modular)

After two and a half years of playing (mostly) at home it was a pleasure to bring my synthesizers on stage at Superbooth 22 in Berlin. This liveset was built around Ableton Live as midi sequencer and audio mixer. All sounds are from the Waldorf Iridium, Waldorf M, Oberheim Xpander, Moog Sub37 and Eurorack Modular.
Thanks a lot to everyone who came to visit the stage during my gig! The concert would not have been possible without the help and effort of Andreas, Mareen, Nadine, Tom, Mathieu & Manu.

This alone would have made it worth to visit Superbooth, but still, the travelling distance ... But great you made this video with audience available. No live cat's and tea but i'll be enjoying those from my own home. Thank you Martin!

Brilliant - as usual. Martin, you are setting the standard for ambient-sequencer music these days. in my view, nobody (even famous names who I won't list) is producing better work. This is the highest standard. Oh, and it sounds beautiful.

I hope you can come to America to play a concert or 3. I know Chuck Van Zyl would love to have you perform at the Gathering concert series. Schedule permitting, I would fly to Philadelphia from LAX to see your performance.

Hi Martin,your music is so calmic and addictive. It is really nice to hear Berlin's school music nowadays. I'm Tangerine Dream,Jerome Froese, Klause Schulze fan. Thank you for that kind of sounds. I hope you know some other musicians playing similar music.I can recommend State Azure, Ron Boots, Gert Emmens etc. Thanks to RU-vid we can find a lot of new and interesting music sounds.

Amazing set as always. Say I have a question. I've lately been getting inspiration from the way you arrange your live sets with Push and Ableton, using program change messages etc. Super good workflow! But it seems to me that it's impossible to do a multitrack arrangement view recording within Live at the same time as performing an improvised set using session view IF one wants to be able to record new midi clips with the Push 2 into session view during the performance. My question is, have you been able to do this at all? Or are you maybe just recording the master output of your performance on a separate software/device?

Martin Stürtzer kept me sane throughout the lockdowns when I was working at home he kept me inspired in the studio and entertained while working. Could have had a slightly better placed smoke machine but hey ho didn't seem to bother him much 🙏🎧🎹🎹🎛🎧

No need to answer that dude, I have seen you mention you would go with the iridium first. Sorry to ask the same question already asked a million times ;)

Hi! It depends on what you already have in the studio. The Iridum is a very good "allrounder" with many different synth engines. The M is a very special tool that has a unique character. But to a certain degree you can create the same sounds with the Iridium as well.

@@MartinStuertzer thanks for getting back to me Martin. I have a TI2 and a JP8000. I’m looking at an M, iridium or a moog. Was thinking an M, for the really weird and messed up sounds, but after hearing the stunning pad’s u have played I really think the iridium is epic and maybe the one ;)

Hi Martin, how you do so long sounds ? When I try to make such kind sound I have a problem, that all changes the sounds I can do in 64 steps. I know, that its LFO or envelope but can you explane how you do this ?
