Excellent video. I watch everything on your channel and find a lot of inspiration here. As a relatively recent Norns owner I find your insights and music very enjoyable and informative
For myself, I have had an old Pi3b+ lying around for years, and so bought a kit and will put it all together soon. Thanks for these videos, I'll be trying out these scripts first.
Here to say that I value your videos a lot! New Shield owner and these videos have been super helpful! They also really make me want to shell out for a grid 😂
@@cjlewis79 Went with a grid! Very happy with it as it completely expands what's possible. Worth it alone just to use MLRE and ORGWRMS imo. Compared with getting a Deluge - I'm sure that would give you a lot more functionality as it's a standalone piece of gear. I would say that the Grid is very compact and Bus powered which is very nice.
Thank you very much for this video! Very inspirational! The sound has a lovely reverb and panning enrichment (expecially in flora script), just curious...It's all from the shield or there are effects/pedals in the middle?
Thank you for checking it out! Norns has a lovely reverb integrated into it’s global settings, however for these videos I like to add a bit of reverb in post as well. I’m using the Valhalla Super Massive. It’s superb and free :)
@@spzcerogotcha! To get tracks onto your norns you’ll need to connect to the same wifi (your computer & norns) and then you can connect your norns with network- much like a server. once in you will see the audio folder and here you can add your files :)
@@tworoundrobins Thnx 4 your fast reply. Im connected yup, how I can add those .mp3 files there? drag and drop using maiden? ive tried but nothing happen ;/
I mean you can probably run something like this through Super Colider or even MAX for Live, but norns primarily has dawless usability meant to live in its own ecosystem
hi, best way is to get it of the second market on Reverb or maybe asking on lines community as well as in the monome facebook group. as for building, you need to get the pcb somewhere or get a pcb builder company to make one for ya and then get all the other parts - in this case I suggest looking into fates :)
