Go for it! Could use crimpe fitting to make your life easier, I soldered just for the fun of it

That's mad! Scary how many people have or plan on paying that, hopefully this video helps a few people out. I'm not experienced with a solder iron and did mine fine 👍

This is common with the giuliettas, not sure about yours. For the price of it, I'd try this first, even before a regas

Have you saw the vid from Jerry Hernandez RU-vid ref this fix..can you comment on his removal of the mirror case to access the sensor.

If it fixed the problem when you changed it, double check your crimp/solder connections?

check the connections in the door hinge - they're worn where the ziptie holds them - cut that thing off and fix the wiring.

Same for me lol. I changed the sensor, was not easy. Worked for a day then same problem. It says -30 C degrees when it is +40 C outside. I would not care but the aircondition doesn't work probably because of this.

@@leecasper6657 AC is involved only to the degree of temperature being close to the freeze (it does not simply engage then) Did you check the door hinge harness? Unless you got a used sensor, problem's in a different place. EDIT: dismiss, the second part - I thought it was a Volvo... lol

@@leecasper6657 of course if the vehicule indicate negative temp, air conditioning can't work !

Hi bro have my sensor delivered. Covers off and indicator, just working round the mirror atm. Finding it tricky to remove. I wonder aswell.. do you need to disconnect the battery aswell before cutting the old one out, or just make sure ignition is off.. tia

I didn't bother. When I looked at the gauge of the cables, I didn't give it a second thought. But feel free to disconnect it for your peace of mind mate. I don't want you complaining that i gave you false advice 😂

Yeah, anything water tight mate. Crimp fittings with the heat shrink pre applied, whatever you want. I just wanted to get the solder out haha
