Ambilight Color Test - Recording

Recording of the color test video playing on my own DIY ambilight setup. Ambilight colors are generated in real-time based on the onscreen colors. The monitor image is as-filmed and is not superimposed.
The ambilight is composed of 80 WS2812B LEDs (also known as Adafruit NeoPixels), driven by an Arduino Nano. The LEDs are arranged in an upside-down 'U' shape with a gap at the bottom for the monitor's ports.
The capture software I'm using to generate the ambilight colors is Prismatik.

do you have a video of step by step on how to make your own DIY ambient setup, currently im using govee and id really like to make my own.

Greetings from Russia. You did an exceptional job in terms of color correction - I wonder how did you manage to do that? Is it an option within the Prismatik software or is it something that needs to be done separately? Thanks for that demonstration too! :)

Thank you! Prismatik has per-LED color correction built in. You can either set the correction values during the wizard or modify the configuration file by hand.

@@dave.madison Wow, I surely didn't expect such a quick answer :) Thank you, I took a closer look into your guide on Imgur and now everything makes perfect sense. Two last questions I've got - from the looks of is the latency of the LED strip is close to non-existent, but I'm kinda sensitive to any kind of input lag, so I want to know: 1) if it's noticeable at all in first person and 2) if there is anything better than the version of the software that you provided in your guide? Cause maybe there is some new development which I'm not yet aware of :) Best of luck, your implementation of this project is the most beautiful one I've seen.

@@user-br9th4ei6v By virtue of the way the technology works there's always going to be some sort of 'lag'. For me it's only noticeable if I'm concentrating on the lights themselves or if there's very fast motion going on. Normally they're in the background and the lag is out of sight, out of mind. And as far as I know Prismatik is the best software out there.

Very nice. im reading your tutorial but i have a question. This works for Tv 4k? I want to use this for cinema when im reproducing som UHD disc thanks

You need a pc to send the data that is on the screen. If you want to do this ambilight with an hdmi signal it's complicated, but there are videos on youtube about that.
