Since it is now 2024, and the 20th anniversay started in 2023; does this make LRR's 20th Anniversary coincide with Sonic's 30th?

I have to assume that I'm not the only one who had this response but HOLY SHIT THAT WAS WHEELER IN THAT EPISODE OF FRIDAY NIGHTS?!?!?!

I saw 2018 content I remember, thought "We're at recent stuff!" Then I realized 2018 was just over five years ago and felt myself start turning to dust.

Huge shoutouts to the editing (Matt and Graham, going by the credits on this episode) on this entire podcast series. It can't be easy to have Graham/Paul/guest of the episode throw out some reference to something that happened once and then have to go through LRR's entire massive backlog to find that clip and edit it in, but it is hugely appreciated every time it happens.

I think I have inoculated myself against Serge's "He's just a little guy" aura, because the one time I was in a sanctioned Highlander event I had specifically put a couple of land hate cards in the deck. And who am I put up against in round three after going 2-0? Serge. I was rakdos goblin midrange (which wasn't really a meta deck at the time), and the round went to three games. Serge beat me, but I made him work for it. I don't play magic anymore, but I have a lot of fond memories of that weekend.

Hearing Serge and Wheeler's origin story made me think of that Canadian Highlander Friday Night Paper Fight where Serge Stifled Wheeler's Fetch and then Nimble Obstructionist his Fetch the next turn. The rivalry between those two makes so much more sense.

I've put this on both episodes, but I think it's always worth reiterating- Jacob ran both in the first season and second season of Not a Drop to Drink some of the best Session Zeros I've ever seen. I'd often seen some of the advice put out there, but it was really cool seeing Jacob run through that, as well as it showing while Jacob cared deeply for Vampire, he cares way more for the players, and if something in the setting didn't work, he would always avoid it or change it.

I loved Adam's series with the CYOA books! I hope one day we get to see more of that.
