This would be a "nice" way to crack the oil pan or any other sensitive parts under the car, though... That sharp point of the platform under the car was a bit sketchy.
Well, at least all the lights still work xD Glad everyone is well! Do you think it will be repaired or is it a write off? On the surface seems like cheap plastic, no airbags deployed :/
Whoops, looks like someone is in for a investigation at work. Sucks, but sadly if he did strike the vehicle because it was behind a car and trailer as per the description, regardless if his lights and noise were activated then it would be found to be his fault. Sadly driving in emergency conditions such as these guys and girls drive in, it’s down to the emergency driver to make sure it’s safe to proceed and perform whatever manoeuvre is required, I.e. overtaking, travelling through red lights, over give way junctions etc. Just because you are lit up like a Christmas tree and have noise blasting out, does not make it automatically safe. It sucks and yes you could argue that the other driver should have been aware there was an emergency vehicle nearby and reacted accordingly, but then again if he was hidden from the ambo by the trailer, then I would assume the ambo was hidden from him by the same trailer. I just hope the paramedic doesn’t get into too much trouble from this. Just a bad day at work, and the main thing is no one was hurt.
What you are saying is true, but it would probably mostly be paperwork and nothing more. As it was a human fault, caused by an obstacle that blocked the vision, it probably won’t be such a big problem. Just a case of insurance.
It's the Netherlands. You don't get fired over a single incident like this if that's what you mean. Police will likely investigate and if the cause is eventually revealed, parties involved will just get their insurance companies to deal with it. I expect the ambulance company to have a different insurance as the risk something like this happens is far greater than for the average consumer. I won't be surprised if this gets noted somewhere so if a particular emergency vehicle driver has a surprising high number of crashes on his record he or she is likely to be investigated or have the license revoked and is sent for recertification/training and if that doesn't help, he will pay the price.
They do. The lightbar on top radiates blues and orange (if necessary) in all directions. If you're too stupid to see a vehicle in front of you because it only has a bar on top you should not be on the road at all.
No, I don't think so. The insurance company deals with the situation based on the police findings .Normally the police does not show up if cars are only damaged ( no injuries sustained ) , but in the case of ambulances or fire brigade involvement, they appear for an inquiry. Unlike many other countries, ambulances are organised in a special Regional Ambulance Foundations. .So they are in fact owned by a a third party and central government is on a distance unlike NHS,. Of course all ambulances have to meet the national Ambulance Legislation on equipement and trained personell. . In contrast e.g. policecars or army vehicles, which are fully government owned ( they lack insurance) , consequently all ambulances need to be liability insured . And again in contrast to the UK, not the driver is insured, but the vehicle itself as are all cars within NL.
@@AJ2021 Schade in dutch means Damage in English. So it's not the same like Schade in german that means Sad/to bad in English and Jammer in Dutch. Have a nice day greetings
am•bu•lance (ˈæm byə ləns) n. 1. a specially equipped motor vehicle, airplane, ship, etc., for carrying sick or injured people, usu. to a hospital. So in Holland victims are chucked in the backseat, or ride pillion on the motorbike?
Johanrebel, in the Netherlands, a normal ambulance has a doctor and a driver, a normal ambulance brings people to hospitals. But this is a special kind and it only has a doctor, this rapid responder as it’s called, comes to situations where there is no transport needed, or an ambulance needs assistance, like when they have to do cpr. In the Netherlands we have a lot of special ambulances like this one.
Als je de gordels draagt is rollen minder erg als frontaal tegen een boom of zwaar voertuig botsen maar het is wel indrukwekkend ( voor de toeschouwers maar ook voor de inzittende(n))
@@brianfotografie1124 Yes it is, because the title should say something like 'aftermath of crash' or 'ambulance crashed with car'. The title now implies that the crash itself was captured as it happened, which is not the case.
