out of ALL the cruise reviews I've watched, yours is the ONLY one that showed EVERYTHING, literally. Thank you. You showed even the little things like the clothes line, the bunkbed details, hidden food tray, every detail of the closets and more. thank you for that and hope you continue doing so!
Oh, thank you so much!! It's what I strive to do with the cabin tours; try to help those looking at this cabin and so they know what it really is like!
thank you for posting this. Its VERY hard to find videos of an interior with the pullmans down so this was a true gem. We are in an interior on deck 10 in a few weeks, and its very helpful to see that there is actually a lot of storage space and that it worked for you all. We have 2 adults and 2 older teens, so its going to be tight, but we really only spend a little bit of time in our cabins. When we do balcony rooms, we have found we spend very little time on it (i find it boring to just sit there lol) so this time to save $1200 we booked the interior. It doesn't look too bad! Thanks again for posting...it took me a very long time of searching to find this.
Happy to help!! That’s why we post these out here! I think the hardest part was unpacking so I recommend you take shifts of unpacking and packing up due to the space and dealing with four people in there. Otherwise it worked great for us and was SO much more affordable! Enjoy your cruise!!
@@NauticalNurseNancy oh good tip thank you! I know how hard it is for 4 people to unpack in a balcony, I imagine it's difficult in a smaller interior. Thanks :)
Hi Nancy! New subscriber and fellow nurse here. Just stepped away from the bedside for good after 26 years two weeks ago! Going on Mardi Gras 3/12. Thanks for the review.
Hello fellow nurse! Thank you so much for subscribing to the channel!! We LOVE our cruise vacations! How cool that you will be on the Mardi Gras - that ship has SO MUCH to offer!! I recommend not to get to caught up in the cabin, because you have TONS to do out on the ship. Great food and entertainment options!! I've been a bedside nurse for 30 years now and it's a career I still love. Have a wonderful cruise!
I understand! We will do interiors because of the huge price difference, and because we are often not in the cabin for long. This definitely makes us treasure the times we have been able to be on a balcony...it's SO nice to just wake up and walk out the your own private balcony! Thanks so much for your feedback and kind words, my friend!🤗
No space in that cabin for 2 people, let alone 4. From what I have seen, all the cabins on that ship are small. I don't care to cruise it at all! Have fun Nancy! Glad you don't have a wheel chair... LOL
Yes, this was very tight indeed! Especially trying to fold up the wheelchair and store it in the cabin on the side of the bed at night! But we definitely had a very good time on that ship, and having our daughters with us was a special treat. I'm very thankful not to need the wheelchair or crutches anymore!! Thanks for watching and for the feedback Paula!😊
@@Mrcruisefever1 Quite honestly, I think the Dream class is our favorite size of ship! We did enjoy our time on the Miracle as well. But I do see how the big ships have TONS to offer and that's fun too.
We DO enjoy those balcony cabins! It's a whole level of luxury to wake up and walk out on the balcony to watch the ocean. However, when we are trying to just get onto a cruise ship for cheap, an interior works for us! Thanks for watching and giving your feedback!🤗
We've done an inner cabin many times with 3 or 4 people. With a couple women it is a little hard but yes it does work. Especially when you don't spend a lot of time in the room. I'm sure it was fun having the family together. :)
Okay, this is just the nurse coming out in me, but other than the bathroom this doesn't seem like the most accessible space for someone in a wheelchair unless they are semi-ambulatory (other than the bathroom). However, if you're a family of 4 traveling on a tight budget you can certainly make it work, especially if you are traveling with younger kids.
@Christine Shields - yes, this was not really intended for a wheelchair for getting around. I was still recovering from my knee injury and was on crutches most of the time. I brought the wheelchair just because walking constantly on crutches is exhausting and I sometimes needed a rest. This cabin was definitely tiny but you are right, it worked fine for us because we were trying to get by with less cost. It only cost our daughters $200 each to take this week-long cruise and we all had a blast. We only use the room for sleeping and changing in, and there are other bathrooms on the ship available to us if we needed to use them too. Thanks so very much for your kind words and hello to a fellow nurse!
@Lillian Harris - Indeed, this was considered an ambulatory assist cabin, and it was really decked out for a variety of needs. We knew it was going to be a tight fit. Those fully accessible cabins are in high demand, and I didn't require it for this cruise, since I could walk on crutches. I am always happy when those that need those fully accessible cabins can get them and cruise! Thanks for the feedback!
Bigger ship, smaller cabins. Glad to see Your knee is on the mends. I should be getting a call from Ortho Surgeon tomorrow telling me when my left knee replacement will be.....
Yep; it does seem like the interiors are getting smaller...but this ship has SO MUCH to offer outside the cabins. We were blessed to get onto it. I'm praying that your knee replacement will go super smoothly and that you will regain strength and function back quickly. God bless.⚓️
Hi Nancy! Hi Anthony! Hi Family! Thanks for the tour of this cabin. You always create fun vlogs to watch. We stayed in cabin 5390 on the Mardi Gras in October. We enjoyed the beautiful ship & the phenomenal crew very much. Love your door decorations 🌺 🩴 🛳
Thank you Jay Lo!! What kind words! You had a nice balcony cabin then...how cool! We really enjoyed the Mardi Gras so much, and having our daughter along was an added blessing. Thanks so much for watching!😊 ⚓️
Odd that you didn't have good water pressure. That's a bummer. Did you talk to maintenance about it, or was it still enough to shower with? We live out in the county and our normal water pressure is low, so whenever we have good water pressure it's a real treat! God bless!
That's so cool, you stayed right by that cabin! I saw there were those square interiors on there! Did it feel like it was more roomy? I'd love to try this type of cabin someday. Thanks so much for watching!💗
@@NauticalNurseNancy I thought it was more roomy. We have a back to back coming up on the Mardi Gras again and booked another square cabin on a different floor. The following week we booked a rectangle cabin. So, we shall get a good comparison.
Ha ha ha...yep, this was a tight squeeze, the tightest we've done on a ship! But we totally enjoyed our time with your daughters on there and it was so nice to be on this big new ship. (I think it was sort of a fun challenge to see if we could make it work!) Thanks for watching, Mama Dee!!
It worked for us just fine, and our daughter were able to cruise with us for a REALLY cheap price!! (They paid their own way!) Thanks so much for watching my friend!💕
Hello! Thanks for watching and for your kind words. I would really recommend that you take separate shifts when you are doing things that need a lot of moving around, like unpacking and packing. Maybe assign spaces for each of you to unpack to use, and then have no more than 2 people unpack at a time. With some good communication, this will work great and you have the WHOLE SHIP to move around and enjoy. It's a little more of a challenge to be in so tight, but it's worth it to take the cruise together and make amazing memories!! ENJOY your cruise!
YES! That's our overall perspective! If this is how we can get onto a huge ship like this and cruise it is worth it!! We enjoyed the cruise a lot, and it was a blessing to have our daughters along with us. Thanks for watching and for your great feedback!🤗
It wasn't too bad, because we could stroll up the hallway to use bathrooms (and showers) in the spa area. We did have a spa pass for that cruise. Thanks so much for watching!
I can see the benefit of doing this (but my hubby really likes the beds together!!) Thanks so much for watching and for giving your insight into how you did it!🤗
@@Yame39 pack las lightly as possible. Suitcases do fit under the beds and you can hopefully put 2 under each bed. If I remember correctly, rather than unpacking completely, our daughters just pulled out their suitcase when needed and then slid it back under. That worked and enabled my husband and me to unpack and use the drawers/cabinets, etc.
I'd like to see how this works out that room is too small for four people.🙄 by the time they flip them two beds down how do people with the bottom going to get out the bed.
It was tight, but doable; I think we show it in the video, how it looks with the pullman beds down. We actually had more room than we initially thought. Thanks so much for your comment; it is appreciated!!
Hi Janis!! Thanks for watching! The girls were very happy to come along on the cruise with us, and this cabin was a way they could afford to do so (being adults, they paid their own way.) They knew that they would be in pull-down beds, and those are not super comfy for adults, but they made the best of it and still talk about how much they enjoyed the cruise. God bless you and see you SOON!!!
Good insight...I bet it was REALLY hard for them to make the beds...I didn't really think of that till now. Thank you for giving me this perspective - the crew on board are absolutely so wonderful! This cabin worked for the 4 of us, and it was kind of a challenge to see if we could do it, LOL! But no doubt, it was TIGHT! Much love, Nancy
Is it difficult to go to an inside after a balcony? We have only 1 bdr in our house with 3 people so I know bathroom time is workable. Did you find the entire bathroom floor got wet after showers? (We are traveling in an accessible cabin in August and that concerns me). ~Inge 😺
Hi Inge! YES! It was indeed a difficult to go from staying in a balcony cabin to an interior!! (I think I'm getting spoiled, LOL!) But we still love cruising enough to make it squeeze into our budget when we are able. To answer your question: the bathroom floor didn't get wet, it seemed like the flow drained down the drain very well. And we had plenty of towels from our cabin steward. The staff treat you like royalty - we SO love cruising!! Enjoy your upcoming cruise!! 😺 ⚓️
The bunk beds are not accessible at all! This cabin is considered "accessible" because it has a shower seat and no step up to get into the bathroom. It also is capable to have a bed shaker & strobe lights for if you are hearing impaired, and pull cords for emergencies. Thanks for watching and for the question.
That is a shame. Hopefully you found a cabin type that you can go on. This was definitely a tight squeeze, and the "ambulatory" means you are able to walk a few steps. They have a department where you can speak to a representative about your needs. That is how they chose this cabin for us, since I was in crutches. I don't really know that I would have booked it again, quite honestly.
This is an interesting suggestion and very practical! My Anthony says he'd never stay in a cabin with separate beds, LOL! We squeezed into there but it was VERY tight, for sure!
