Finally, a video that explains the great truth about elk hunting. I don't think any one can fully explain it but you sure came close. A fellow Montanan myself I can really appreciate this. I have also watched all your other videos and think you guys really have set the new standard for outdoor videos. Keep up the good work and maybe I will see you out in the field one day. Hopefully not watching the same wallow though. Can't wait to see this years videos. Don't delay!
I wish more hunters would take your approach to telling the story. This is real hunting done the hard way and the game taken are earned rewards. These young bucks give this grumpy old man hope for the future of hunting and fishing..
Guys- beautiful stuff. Well done- you earned that! I was pumped for you and relieved when he finally turned again to the right and broadside. Keep 'em coming!
Wow that must have been crazy exciting when that bull walked out. Impressed you still made a good shot after being at full draw for so long. That's not easy to keep your composure in that type of situation. Excellent video. subscribed
Great job... I had a similar scenario happen to me last fall on the ground near last light. A doe came within 10 yds of me with a big 9 pt. Whitetail following her. I drew & held for what seemed an eternity, waiting for him to come in. Arms shaking worse than you... lol... I Had to let down because I just couldn't hold full draw any longer. He saw me but didn't bust me. He Blew, Snorted, stomped & scraped all with the doe still within 20 yds. Then finally with 5 min. left of shooting time he stepped out from behind a big oak & gave me a 45yd shot.
Anyone got any leads/info on the songs that were used in this video? Been watching this vid since it was fresh out in 2013, still not getting old!! Exceptional job guys.
in Colorado the tag has to stay with the meat not on the horns, I had a d.o.w officer tell me "it's a carcass, not a horn tag". not sure if it's that way in other states.
I counted 105 seconds that you had to hold the bow at full draw! We out here in TV land appreciate you milking the video moment, which was a very rare moment indeed, but if it had been me, well I would have shot him after he stepped out broadside. Thank you and congratulations.-Paul
