AMBUSH SHOOTING: Tow truck driver ambushed while on the job; family wants justice 

How heartbreaking! I can’t imagine what this family is going through! The scumbags who did this need to be found and permanently removed from society.

This type of jobs should be handled differently , real law enforcement should be present at the time of a repossession

I reckon I've done repo work for a good three weeks too many, it bein' a job where the folks whose vehicles you're takin' are often at their lowest ebb in life. Anythin' might come to pass.

That is some very clear video. That car that the shooter got out of is very distinctive. Most likely they will catch those guys ...

While I am sad a man lost his life, I am also of the opinion that tow truck driver is arguably the scummiest profession. They literally have the power to steal people's cars and demand money for their return. Accidently park in the wrong spot? Bam! 300 bucks. Accidentally forget to display your parking pass? Bam! 300 bucks. I've heard stories of people having their cars repossessed (without any sort of due process, of course) and when they get them back they are damaged or have things missing. Unless you are getting roadside assistance, every encounter with a tow guy is a bad one.

I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often, especially with the predatory tow truck drivers.

The tow.driver are ruthless in my city. They work with the parking enforcement. On my street they wait for the clock to turn and the city enforcement slaps a ticket amd the tow company takes the car. Double penalty. I have no sympathy for them

Police found A large amount of fentynal in the car he repossessed. Apparently, the car was repossessed because it was rented and never returned. It wasn't an impound. My guess is the drugs belonged to some scummy gang banger, prison bound cockroach, drain on society. I worked with this guy in the past, he's a good dude. Hope he pulls through

It just amazes me how there is someone to protect the killer, who will hide him out, make sure they are fed, make sure he has a good night sleep. This is horrible. I'm the the automotive business and I've never seen a humble kind tow truck driver. I heard he was a hard worker which means taking a lot of people's cars in the middle of the night. These people have no regard for life I wouldn't be a repo man if it were the last job on earth I'd just live off the land.

I agree 👍🏾 💯 That real Law Enforcement officers should be present during the repossession process because what is not seen or understood is the fact that the people or persons who fell behind with their payments could feel desperate and take the repossession personally and attack such as possible with this incident. I had two repossessions in my life before and it's not the end of the world! Its just a car! I remember being so afraid of when the repo man would come and get my vehicle, but honestly I didn't want to live with that fear. It was like a breath of fresh air once they had finally come and picked it up! People are prone to feel afraid of repo men and women, however they have a job to do. If you know that you haven't been paying your car note or simply can't pay it for whatever reason, let them pick up the vehicle! It's OK! You'll feel much better and pray about it! God can hear you just fine, believe me! You have to work hard and trust the process.

What are the indicators that this is job related? He wasn't in the middle of a vehicle repossession when this happened. Could be someone from his past trying to settle an old score, related to any number of variables outside his vocation.

My pops taught me to don’t ever mess with a man’s money (includes car) and/or woman. I would not hesitate to kill over these two things also, understandably. Don’t ever partake in occupations that involve depriving a man of these two things if you want to live long happy life.

This is the toughest job out there, you are dealing with angry drivers who probably don't have the funds to get their car back to go to work or take their kids to school. Tow truck drivers get the brunt of the heat. I hope he pulls through.
