@@piotrbiedowicz1602Would you rather he do his job by piddling around and just reviewing one-by-one things that come out? Yes, it is his job to review stuff, but it's also _his choice_ to purchase an absurd amount of motherboards to give us a comprehensive look at basically the entire market. Finding motherboard content is difficult to begin with, let alone one that puts everything all in one place. This is above and beyond "just doing his job".

@@yeshuayahushua4338 You'll be fine with a 7500F on an a620. If you plan on upgrading the CPU in the future, I would stay using a non-x CPU. The X CPU's will need the better VRMs and power stages. BTW, Jesus/Yeshua FTW!!!!

pc s are dead .you can do your work on cloud pc instead . and cloud gaming is mainstream now not pc or console anymore. People are moving to cloud gaming instead of buying a pc or console or laptops. It's the end of hardware market. Phone s are better than a gaming pc. And we can play games on tv with out any trash hardware. And now Microsoft is totally moved in to cloud gaming instead of console. No Xbox console anymore. Only cloud gaming and Microsoft have windows 365 cloud pc witch will kill hardware totally. ..

HU knocking it out of the park again (no real surprise there though). Fantastic work. Did my first ever build over last Christmas at the grand old age of 51 and went for the B650E-F. Was going to go for the Tomahawk but on the day at Memory Express the Asus was on sale for around $20 CAD more than the MSI board! Quite the deal and I’ve had zero issues with the whole build (R5 7600x and a “place holder” 6750XT). Again many thanks to HU for all their great work, you and Jason (PC Builder) we’re my go to sources of info on the build.

Ever since I had two motherboards fried I haven't gone under 200E for a motherboard and haven't regretted it since. FYI it has a thunderbolt header on the motherboard which might come in handy at some point. I've also been using it on WiFi flawlessly so far. I've paired it with the 7700 and 7900xt and will be watching the market in the following years for a good upgrade, but not too soon as I always wait for some discounts and patches on new games. Thinking about swapping the 7900X for a 7800X3D as a better pairing for my 4090.

I just bought the MSI MPG B650I Edge mITX motherboard today and then this video is posted... here's hoping for the best 😀 Edit: Looks about middle of the road compared to the features/temperatures on other boards, but it's by far the cheapest mITX motherboard I could find in Aus.

12:09 The ASUS ProArt B650 Creator main feature would be the two pcie x16 slots that can be run at x8 each. Which is needed when running two GPUs for 3D rendering applications like Blender. Much less expensive than buying a threadripper or xeon workstation for multiple GPUs.
@XxDeViLBrInGeRxX
@XxDeViLBrInGeRxX Год назад
Yes, but I think that users that have a multiGPU render PC dedicated for this task, specially if using top tier end GPUs like 4090, most likely have more than enough money to just buy a X670E
@Rachit0904
@Rachit0904 Год назад
@@XxDeViLBrInGeRxX Those X670E boards with dual x8 cost $450+. That's a lot of money if the B650 Creator can do the same thing. It also has a DisplayPort input on the back for DisplayPort over USB-C without the overhead of the iGPU. Useful for those who use a Thunderbolt dock or similar for connecting their monitors and perhaps switching between a laptop and desktop. This also is a feature otherwise only found on $400+ boards.

ASUS *ProArt B650* x16 or x8+x8 *(PCIe 4.0)* straight to CPU 3rd full-sized slot is PCIe 4.0 x4, via Chipset PCIe 4.0 x16 (or x8 + x8) means maximum ~32 GB/s. ASUS *B650E-E* *MAJOR EDIT:* pdf manual says x16 or x8+x4 *(PCIe 5.0)* straight to CPU (other sources + my assumption were: x8 + x8). 3rd full-sized slot is PCIe 4.0 x4, via Chipset PCIe 5.0 x16 (or x8 + x8) means maximum ~63 GB/s. But... x8 + *x4* wouldn't be great for two GPU's... Especially if they don't support PCIe 5.0... 😕 So, if two GPU's (PCIe 4.0 x16) would be enough, boards would sort of kind of work... *But...* ProArt B650 with halved bandwidth for both GPU's (PCIe 4.0 x8). Since RTX 4090 etc. and Proart B650 don't support PCIe 5.0. Which might not be a (major) problem, in practice. Even with todays fastest GPU's. But in the future, it might be... B650E-E's situation is bit weird, assuming pdf manual is correct: PCIe 5.0 x16 for a single GPU --> Absolutely fantastic! Future proof. PCIe 4.0 x16 for a single GPU --> Great! For example, unlimited RTX 4090. PCIe 5.0 x8 for GPU1 + PCIe 5.0 *x4* for GPU2 --> Weird & limiting... PCIe 4.0 x8 for GPU1 + PCIe 4.0 *x4* for GPU2 --> Weird & seriously limiting... Anyways, actual HEDT mobos are much more capable (more PCIe-lanes, flexibility and memory). And very expensive, too. And of course, they require HEDT CPU's etc.

@@eukariootti1 I thought the Asus Strix B650E-E only has x8 + x4, not dual x8. On the specs page I see: 2 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots (supports x16 & x8/x4 modes)

Surprised there was not much mention around the Q-Code LED's. Those are a major factor in which motherboards are worth snagging. They are extremely helpful in diagnosing and dealing with any technical issues (which are almost always going to happen when buiding your own pc).

Really wishing I’d find more boards with these. My MSI Gaming M5 Z170A that I used to house my (current) i7-6700k has the LCDs on-board. Ridiculous at the higher price that it’s left out. Manufacturers in all industries have been cutting corners since Covid/chip shortages.

Note about the Gigabyte B650E Aorus Master: When populating more than 2 of the 4 (pcie 5.0) M.2 slots the pcie 16x 5.0 slot drops down to 8x speed!
@TheGreenReaper
@TheGreenReaper Год назад
That's a cool way of doing it, you have the flexibility to go both ways. By the time it matters I suspect 8xPCIe 5.0 will still be enough - if the card natively supports PCIe 5.0.
@martheunen
@martheunen Год назад
@@TheGreenReaper exactly the reason i chose this board. One 16x slot is enough for me and planning on having the board a long long time and took a bet on 5.0 8x gpus being a thing in the future or at least 5.0 8x still being 'fast' enough for 16x cards by that time. If so I might populate all four M.2 slots. If not, a small pcie card for a 4.0 nvme in the lower 4.0 pcie slot (which runs at 4x I think) will be also fine for a backup/storage drive. Maybe not the most cost efficient mobo, but I 'wanted' an upgrade after 9 years and also liked the look of the board. :)

A feature you left out on the Proart board was the front USB C charging - with the added PCIe power can do 60W charging out of the front port, which I don't really see on any other board. That could be nice if having 60W charging to another device connected to your PC is valuable. It's definitely very barren compared to its x670e counterpart though.

Thanks Steve. You're a Legend. I'm actually relieved to see you have picked the Asus B650E-F and B650E-E as your top boards from the lot (for their respective prices). After much research, just about 3 months ago, I went with the Asus B650E-E for my AM5 build. Didn't mind paying 70 bucks more over the F variant for more PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 m.2 NVMe ports, and the "premium" dual 7-segment LED code display, which is significantly more useful than the plain 4 LED fault lights off my old board, an MSI B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC, purchased after your B450 board comparison from several years ago. My B650E-E was initially paired with a 7950X, which I later returned, and purchased a 7800X3D at launch day. Been pretty pleased with this latest build, and happy they seem to have sorted out the 7800X3D CPU voltages in their 1616 BIOS. They were uploading a new BIOS almost every day. It was insane! 😂 Cheers brother! ❤️
